Sushi Yun — Restaurant in Orange

As some who was a waiter for 7 years it's rare I ever go to a place and leave no tip. Not only was the service here not deserving of a tip but honestly I deserve a refund. Trust me, save your money and do not ever go here.

Upon arriving, my friend and I took a seat and began to look at the menu. It took 10 minutes for the server to come over and ask us what we wanted to drink. Please keep in mind there are only three parties in the whole place. us (2), a family (5) and another table of friends (2). So the delays don't really make sense here. Once he came back with our waters we placed our orders. We both got two rolls each. It took 45 minutes for our food to be brought to us. During that time I witnessed the manager arguing several times with the chef. They were both yelling at each other.

Once they brought over our food, they had completely forgotten a whole roll. Yup we ordered a whole 4 items and they couldn't remember that. I figured that maybe it was still being made so I ate my first roll. I kid you not, some of the salmon was frozen in the middle. But I pressed on because I was hungry. Now it had been 10 minutes since the food was brought over and the server never came to check on us. So I walked into the kitchen and told the server I was still waiting on the roll. He still had the chef work on two more orders that came in after mine before he made mine.

Not once was there an apology or even an attempt. All I got is is "oh I forgot". Well I guess I forgot to leave a tip.

On top of this, there were people that called in orders that still had to wait 25 minutes for their food.

The food here sucks and the service...

Ordered delivery from here via UberEats. Got 6 rolls, 2 hand rolls, mixed tempura, and agedashi tofu.

The mixed tempura was burned. Flavor was ok? But the mix of veggies was also lacking. Shrimps were tiny.

Agedashi tofu was ok, not a lot of seasoning but it was fried well and crispy when delivered.

The rolls... none of the fish that was used seemed very fresh. The tuna on top of the Ichiban roll was outright rancid, it smelled bad, tasted like ammonia, and had the texture of paste. We thought the spicy tuna rolls were ok, but later on both my wife and I had allergic reactions. We’ve had plenty of sushi before and this was the first take either one of us had a reaction to fish. My reaction was bad enough to send me to the ER for a Epi shot and a Medrol pack.

Definitely not...

Totally bummed!! I used to love coming here and the food was delicious. Tonight we ate inside the restaurant and I ordered the shrimp tempura and it said eight pieces $8.95. when I got the order it was only five pieces. I let the woman know and she said oh must be a mistake in the print it only comes with five! She never offered to get me the other three shrimp or discount it, but decided to tell me other restaurants they come with four and I gave you five!
