Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Orange

I’ve been to other Dickey’s and always enjoy my experience, but this is the worst in the area.

There were only a couple of people ahead of us in line, but it took a while because there was only one person working. She alone would take the orders, ring it up, and prepare the food.

I took my son and was disappointed to find out that they don’t serve the chicken nuggets that he loves at this location. I went ahead and ordered a turkey plate and was told the turkey wasn’t ready. This was at 1:30 in the afternoon. I finally settled on chicken and when it arrived, it was a mistake. The slices were very thin and dry.

They also could not get my gift card to work. I called and verified the balance before arriving and after, but was still told that “sometimes their machine just doesn’t work” and that they couldn’t manually type the number in.

Overall I was extremely disappointed, I would not...

Horrible service. I went there this evening, placed my order and got a drink. Only to find out they were out of tea, both sweet and unsweet, and was out of every drink except diet drinks. i asked for a refund for the drink and the employee matthew did not know how to do a refund. So after 10 minutes of him trying, i asked for the manager. Employee stated there was no manager. i said just refund my ticket...which again after 10 minutes of him trying to void ticket to refund my credit card purchase, he stated he did not know how to void a ticket. I asked him to call manager and he said he didn't have one and suggested many i go next door and ask the worker there if she knows the manager or how to...

This was our first time eating at this location and we will not return. There wasn't anything good about any of the food we received. The portions were very small in regards to the meat, average sizes for the side items. Chicken breast was extremely dry and salty, brisket was fatty and dried out, Cole slaw was served warm, Mac and cheese was dry, dinner rolls were stale. The Cokes that we got tasted like plain seltzer. I wish we would have dined in so that we could have gotten some type of resolution for this meal. $40 for 2 plates...
