DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN! worst customer service ever! worst restaurant owner ever! I went to CCG for dinner with the family. We asked to be sat by the wine cellar as it was not as crowded in that area. They seated us and we had a nice server and a decent dinner. At the end of our dinner I decided to get up to use the restroom. As i stood up, i realized the bottom of my shoes had been soaked! I looked underneath the table to see what i could have stepped in to find a HUGE PUDDLE of dirty water under the table!! They seemed "surprised" that this happened until we saw that they had already tried to STOP the leak that had apparently started due to the air conditioning! We had just finished a $90 for the 3 of us (we were supposed to get half back to come back another time. they used to give half off the bill, but now that i see how terrible this restaurant is, i can see why they give you the certificate to come back, because you probably wont WANT TO!) the first manager who had seen the situation seemed to care. he made a comment that he would take care of the bill and not to worry that the owner would call us the next day. after waiting for about 15-20 minutes and no one telling us it was OK to leave, we asked for the manager. thats when CHRIS came in. HUGE MISTAKE!!!!! Chris was "apologetic".... he is the type of person that thinks that "im sorry" can take away the fact that my leather soled shoes were completely ruined and that what WAS a nice dinner was no longer a nice dinner, and that it had become very stressful and unpleasant. well he made it worse. he stood there with his fake smile as he assured us he would have the manager STEVE call us back as soon as possible. he then proceeded to plop down on the table our full check, and walked away. no discounts, nothing! not that we DESERVE free food, but common!! so we left and waiting for the owner STEVE to call. a whole week went by, no steve. we called a couple times and left messages for steve, yet all we got back was CHRIS calling. we didnt want to speak with chris! finalllly we got ahold of steve. to make this story as short as possible, and without saying anything that can get me in trouble, Steve was 10 times worse than chris. he was rude and had no sense of customer service. he told us he was aware of the situation and believed what chris had told him over us. he then offered to either help pay for my shoes (which they had already told us would NEVER be a problem) and told us, "sometimes things like that just happen" ... aka, we wont reimburse you for your dinner and i dont really care! We couldnt believe how rude he was. when we asked him if we were hearing right , he then replied that he would rather us just file a complaint against him! oh boy did he not know what he was asking for!! RUDEST MAN EVER! not to mention that for a restaurant owner, you would think you would do everything in your power to stop people who have picture evidence of water damage in a food environment which is obviously something the board of health will love to see pictures of (we took pictures of the wall and damage) . im appalled by the way this situation was dealt. i dont care if that food is ok, or if a waitress is nice, what u really need to know is, the man who OWNS THIS restaurant doesnt care the tiniest bit about his patrons , so why bother going to this disgusting establishment when you have tons of other choices! horrible horrible horrible! the board of health , BBB, and anyone else who cares to hear, WILL hear about this. worst customer service EVER! shame on that man for buying a business where taking care of people who are loyal to your business should be the easiest part of his...
Read moreSaturday night, my girlfriend and I are having a double date with another couple we are friends with. They are big time proponents of downtown Orange, being involved in the community activities and all, so it was suggested to try the Citrus City Grille. A place my girlfriend and I had never been to before, so let’s check it out!
Dinner at 6:30 pm, but uh oh – no one actually made reservations. We were the first to arrive, and the host and hostess were quite friendly and took our names and said a few tables would be ahead of us. We’re cool with that. Well turns out fate smiled upon us, cancellations happened, and we wound up getting seated quite quickly!
The ambiance of the restaurant was nice – dimley lit, private despite being in a sea of other tables. Some decent art on the wall, and a full view of the wine selections gives off a pleasant bourgeois vibe. The wait staff were all of the attractive variety and I was getting plenty of smiles. Have our waitress take a photo of all us as a group was no problem.
We first ordered drinks, mojitos, cokes, and a margarita for me. The margarita was a bit on the pricey side but tasted excellent. Not watered down with mixes and other stuff, I could feel its effects while it tasted very smooth.
As for food? Our company ordered halibut, chicken salad, while my girlfriend got wild mushroom penne and myself got saganaki with their French fries. The menu was surprisingly rife with vegetarian friendly options. Everyone was quite pleased with their respective dishes, with the halibut being particularly amazing according to one of our friends. Myself – I had never had saganaki before and I didn’t really care for it. I wont fault the restaurant for that (since I was trying something new) – however their French fries were not very good. Imagine if you bought a bag of frozen French fries and the directions say cook them for 20 minutes? Imagine if you cook them for 15 – the fries are hot, but they are more solid instead of soft. This is what their fries were like so I wasn’t too thrilled with them.
The prices seemed good for a bit-plate/small food restaurant, but the drinks on a slightly pricier side. You’re paying for atmosphere and service, and that you’re definitely getting. The main host lady even let me have my picture with her, so cordialness was definitely the name of the game. But how a restaurant can undercook French fries does leave me a wee...
Read moreso this was a few months ago, and i haven't been able to get the experience out of my head. i have never ate at this place before. i went here with family for a special occasion, i was going to get the Burger they have tell i read all the garbage that comes on it. avacado BACON and then trying to tell me its a Wagu beef for under 50$.......... i highly highly doubt it and when i ask to see a Certificate of authenticity i was told that's not a thing. Wagu all REAL WAGU comes with a certificate that shows what grade the meat is and what farm the cow was raised at. this tells me this is normal beef cooked in Wagu fat. so i skipped that and went for the spaghetti and meat balls. the spaghetti sause had no mushrooms in it no onions no seasoning and was really oily and tasted like some one ran a stick of butter in the tomato sauce. the meat balls were very good but the spaghetti noodles were not fully cooked. our brussel sprouts were somehow Burnt and not cooked inside and were very crunchy and raw. could you guys not of steamed them for 5 min then fried them for that crisp yet been fully cooked. what kinda place does not have a simple burger and fried or double patty burger and fries with good bread buns and a pick your own toppings. how do you F-up spaghetti and the sauce. more to the point you guys could not even get the vegetables cooked. these are all big signs for me to never come back to a place because they will only rip you off. if you lie about the burger meat cant cook noodles and veggies the 2 most simple things to cook i dont want to come back. normally i order a plane burger non of this garbage bacon avacado crud, and ill judge by the burger is it cooked right hows the bread is it fresh is the tomato onion Lettice fresh and is the meat cooked to how i ordered it and then i go from there. these guys get a 3 out of 10 in my book. for service its a 10 out of 10 i left feeling like i was friends with the staff witch is what you want. maybe it was a off day for the cooks. but for me its a big hell no with the prices they charge for pumped up low quality every day grocery store food you could...
