In Anaheim on business only, know very little of the area and have no idea where to go. Wandering about, enjoying the city, get hungry and look at G-maps for eateries near me and get a craving when i found this on the map. My expectations are typically low for Chinese food as i find disappointment as regularly as i do satisfaction. Thankfully took the leap of faith to try this just to have any hesitations stripped from me upon being handed my bulging container of food from the kind and fairly personable man behind the register. I broke into my meal at thier outdoor seating to find a preposterous amount of food awaiting me. I dig into to find near perfection in my meal. The kung pao had the cerrect level of heat in each bite while being mostly meat and not just a mountain of veggies with some chicken in it like many chains deliver. The orange chicken was flavorful without being just fried sauce covered consumption, good cuts of the meat, real chicken flavor pairing with the sauce and flavor exactly as ordered. The lo mein meshed with everything correctly and tasted satisfactory. My only complaint, which is mild at best, is that the fried rice was a tad dry and made it much less desirable- though, the flavor was there, perhaps it was just an overcooked batch. I ate myself stuffed on food that was priced more affordability than some of the cheapest fast food chains and i loved every bite of authentic flavor. Worth every moment spent writing this, these folks are...
Read moreOrdered takeout through Door Dash! My partner and I were tired after a long day of work and going straight to the gym afterwards. We decided to be lazy and just order in.
What we ordered: My partner ordered two entrees. One with just Black Pepper Chicken, and one with just Orange Chicken. He thought the Orange Chicken didn’t taste like the usual orange chicken sauce. Though, he liked the Orange Chicken better than the Black Pepper Chicken. He thought the Black Pepper Chicken tasted too fishy. I got a combo B (2 item) - half & half Chow Mein and Fried Rice, Pineapple Chicken, and Hot & Spicy Chicken. I really liked my selections! The chow mein was definitely delicious and fulfilling. The fried rice was cooked well and tasted like a usual fried rice. My favorite was the pineapple chicken. It had a tangy sauce, but I’d prefer a bit more pineapple. The hot & spicy chicken had a basic taste; it was forsure spicy.
Pricing: Everyone should know Hong Kong style foods are always served in large portions. Of course you will get your money’s worth. We’re definitely coming back to try their...
Read moreSo I have gone here since they opened 20+ years ago. Back when they had the 2.95 lunch special that could feed a family of 4. I noticed over the years the clientele was getting fatter and fatter. I definitely go less and less as I get older now that I have higher blood pressure. Last year I noticed they shrunk their container sizes. I used to barely fit everything in a 9x9 Pyrex container with stuff coming out the sides. Now the container easily falls in the same pyrex container. As for freshness complaints if you don't go during lunch rush or dinner rush then that's on you. When you walk in you can tell freshness is based on foot traffic. Reading some of the hate comments I can say the chicken has always been delicious the beef hit or miss and the egg rolls always taste like they were made yesterday. I can honestly say this place has contributed to obesity. in the orange...
