With the location finally opened, we found out through Morty that they officially were taking bookings. Our group of 3 have been looking forward to checking out this location earlier this year, so we did the Timeliner: Train through time with game master âCadenâ.
It was listed as a 7/10 difficulty, but it was very fairly paced with an intensely immersive experience. A gen 2 room that almost felt like it couldâve been a gen 3 room if it had cut out a couple of locks/codes. We were so immensely impressed with the tech and creativity of the puzzles. We had 20:50 left on the clock and we used 0 hints. Hooray!
This is a top 2 room for us, and as I am typing this we are already booking another room in 30 minutes. So pleased with the room. Hope âPrison Breakâ is as good as this one.
âââPart 2âââ Honestly, coming from timeliner, this room was a big letdown for our group as there were a few jank aspects that made the experience less streamlined. Most of the room felt pretty outdated and yes, part of it is thematic, but a lot of aspects felt less creative than their other rooms. The negative experience was a combination of the room not being fully reset, two of the puzzles being quite jank and unintuitive, and the game master not being as attentive to the aforementioned issues. More specifics in below (vague spoilers without being too specific)
Update: we just called the location back now that we collected our minds about the issues and yes, the jank that we encountered was well, just jank as it was intended to not be sneaky. It just ended up being so because there wasnât really any indication.
One of our jail cells wasnât locked from the start and we had to relock the cell door. When we finally got to the stage to unlock our cells, we felt a button (we cannot see from the other side so everything is by feel through the cell opening/door). It took over 30 seconds and even after we hit the hint button because it definitely did not seem right after exiting. It definitely seemed like some sort of emergency exit button. So, we reconfined ourselves to our rooms and tried to force lock the jail cell/door again.
One of the later puzzles was a combination lock that was completely unlocked and gave us access to a new room, so it was either try to figure out the code and relock to reset it (could not relock unless we had the answer) or just proceed. However, to get the combo, the item was very flimsy (cloth) and when you have puzzles that need lining something up, it should not be stretchy or mendable.
I think we can all agree that props were not meant to be broken or manhandled, but there was one aspect that we got directed too (out of order) to break open. This is very anti-escape room like as 99% of rooms will tell us to not use force. The way to complete this puzzle rendered the object completely unusable for the next party and something they had to replace each time (although a trivial item used as a medium it still very unintuitive). The biggest aspect is that this gave us an object that gave us access to another object that was the guide to the rest of the room. However, our game master gave us the answer to a future puzzle that couldâve been answered through this guide. This really derailed the flow of the room and he apologized at the end.
We were a bit frazzled and frustrated so we forgot to ask a few questions. His coworker covered for him at points and obviously she wouldnât be aware of our progress and issues that came up.
Will definitely come back, but I hope there are improvements...
Read moreBest experience ever!!! I have so many amazing parts of my time at the Escape Game Orange to share!!
A group of four of us booked two rooms (The Timeliner and Cosmic Crisis) to do on Sunday, October 19, 2025. At the time of our booking for Timeliner, another large group also had a booking. The staff was so great in shuffling the bookings around so we were able to do our room with just our own private group.
The Timeliner was SO fun!! Our host, Lilly, was wonderful, friendly, energetic, and there to cheer us on the whole way! The puzzles were fun, challenging, and themed great. We finished with just six minutes left. My favourite room was the final, Ancient Egypt room. The puzzles in this room were my favourite to solve.
We had a forty minute break before our second room, so the four of us wandered around the mall. I love Disney, and the BoxLunch located conveniently across from the Escape Game was impossible to resist. I was able to snag some adorable merch from Brother Bear, which I had never in my life seen any merch for before! I got the spirit jersey, jersey, and Loungefly mini backpack (to add to my extensive collection!)
Back at the Escape Game, I was going on and on to the staff about my adorable, nerdy Disney merch, and they were all so sweet and receptive while I geeked out. They were so nice finding scissors for me so I could cut the tags off my new Brother Bear spirit jersey and wear it while we played our second game.
Cosmic Crisis was my favourite game of the day! We were able to do this game as a private group of four as well, which was such a treat! Our host, Gwyn, was an expert guide and supported us through the whole thing. She gave great clues and encouraged us to get it done! We were able to solve all the puzzles within the 60 minutes (even though I had to sacrifice myself to save the team haha). My favourite room of this one was the space station room - there was so much going on, but it was so exciting and I could feel my adrenaline going!
THEN, upon completion of the game, Gwyn and Ruby came into the room to congratulate us and performed an act of kindness that melted my heart and had me crying in seconds.
During the time we were completing the Cosmic Crisis room, the staff had worked together to create a personalized, themed, and signed thank you card for me! AND they gifted me a Peter Pan Loungefly. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. It was so incredibly nice of them, such an act of kindness, so genuine and thoughtful, I was immediately in tears. My heart is so deeply grateful! Thank you so much, Lilly, Ruby, Gwyn, and Spike!!!! I have never had anything like this happen to me before I am still reeling from your kindness!!!
The Escape Game Orange is NUMBER ONE for fun, challenging, and epic escape rooms!! But even more than that, you can feel the comradery, positivity, and warmth that exists within the walls of this place! We will absolutely be back to complete the remaining games - Playground and Heist, we're coming...
Read moreLet me start off by saying the customer service here was AMAZING!! Each staff member we spoke with went above and beyond! I wish we lived in the area because I would come to this location EVERYTIME just for the customer service they gave here. Nova, Ofelia, and Jess were ALL AWESOME!! We came in on an early rainy Thursday afternoon so there was no wait. Nova and Ofelia checked us in and got us into our game (the playground) with a breeze. The room was sooo much fun. There was only 2 of us with a toddler and we ended up escaping but we definitely suggest having more people when booking this room. This was probably our favorite room weâve done and weâve done a lot of rooms. They gave us unlimited clues which were very helpful. We got done with this room and they congratulated us per usual but theirs felt above and beyond. During check in, we mentioned that we were in town for Disney 90s Nite & that we collect pins. So when we escaped, they gave us âWe Escapedâ stickers, a note from each staff member with the picture of the pics and Disney 90s night icon on it and gave us a free pin for the room we did. We greatly appreciated the free pin but more importantly it showed that they went above and beyond and caught little details on our conversation that made us feel special. We were not expecting it at all and it made us feel seen as customers! We decided to do another room The Heist since there was no wait and it was raining. Jess and Nova got us situated for the 2nd room and again SUPER NICE!! We had a couple malfunctions in this room but Jess paused our time and helped us out. We escaped this room! And while leaving, Jess and nova made sure we enjoyed our experience here with them, which we DEFINITELY DID. The escape rooms are fun but the customer service was...
