We tried a new brunch spot in Orange! The Peel Craftbar & Kitchen in Orange, CA is located inside the Hotel Fera across from the Block. The food was delicious, with vegetarian options available! This is everything we ordered: • Coffee • California Mollete • The Peel Stuffed French Toast • Carne Asada Chilaquiles • The Peel Benys • Non-alcoholic champagne flight • Non-alcoholic espresso martini Visit @peelcraftbar inside the @hotelfera on Sundays for brunch! Call ahead to see if they’ll be having live music. 🎶 Peel Craftbar & Kitchen 100 The City Drive Orange, California 92868-3204 #ocfood #orangecountyfood #hotelfera #peelcraftbar #orangeca #visitorangeca

Located inside the Hotel Fera. The space is on the main level in the back, and is very open and well lit. There seems to be a dope looking outdoor area with seating, fire pits, and more! BAR: The first thing you see is the big gorgeous bar. It’s a large square shape with seating on 3/4 of the four sides. There are TV’s on each side, a nice display of bottles behind the ba and above your head for decoration. DRINKS: They have an around 12 specialty cocktails featuring your standard spirits. The presentation on some of these is awesome, and there are more that I wish I could have tried. You can also order custom cocktails as they have a full bar. There are ~10 options for both red and white wines. There are also a couple sparkling options available. The cocktails we tried: -Como La Flor ($16.50) - This was really refreshing and wasn’t overly tart or bitter. It’s a beautiful purple color and served with a slice of grapefruit in the glass). -So Cal Sling ($16) - I was going between this and the Gene Autry, and our server recommended this one. The spirit flavor was there, but not overpowering. Another refreshing cocktail served in a highball style glass with a dried pineapple garnish. -The Fera ($16) - This was the replacement drink for one that was sent back. The display on this one is fun with some cucumber slivers on a skewer. She said it was crisp and delicious, and really enjoyed it. FOOD: We came with a small group of 3 and decided to order some dishes to share amongst us. We got: -Mediterranean Charcuterie Board (Spanish chorizo, prosciutto, capicola, salami, manchego cheese, point reyes cheese, brie cheese, pickled vegetables, olives, grain mustard, crispy baguette - $22) - This thing is loaded. Great value for the price, they definitely don’t skimp on the meat. I do wish there was more cheese, but the ones they included were very tasty. -Peel Fish Tacos (Mahi Mahi, sour orange adobo, corn tortilla, citrus, coleslaw, fire roasted tomato salsa, guacamole, lime, chipotle aioli, cilantro - $18) - They come with 3 per order. The fish is grilled, not fried, and has great flavor! -Crispy Brussel Sprouts (Balsamic, honey syrup, crispy onions, roasted shishito peppers - $13) - There was a lot going on here, but it worked! I liked the crispy onions on top, and don’t think I’ve ever had brussels with shishito peppers. Worth trying! -Tempura Cauliflower (Sweet chili BBQ sauce, sesame seeds, scallions - $15) - This might have been the favorite dish of everything we ordered. We ordered an extra side of the sauce, which was super flavorful. Would for sure order this one again! -California Hummus (Sundried tomato, cucumbers, niçoise olives, Temecula olive oil - $12) - I only had a few bites of this, but it was tasty. I don’t like olives, and it has little pieces of olive spread out on top, which I didn’t love. It comes with cute little soft pita pieces, though we added a side of tortilla chips ($4) to accommodate our GF friend. PARKING: There is a self-parking lot that is part of the hotel. You grab a ticket on the way in, and are supposed to get it validated before you leave. OVERALL: We came with a small group to celebrate a friend, and had a very nice time. We came on a Wednesday evening, and wasn’t busy at all. Just a few people at the bar and a few tables throughout the dining room. Our server, Bryan, was friendly and made recommendations on favorite / popular dishes. Our friend didn’t like one of the cocktails she ordered, and he happily replaced it without issue. I would definitely recommend coming to check out The Peel for some great cocktails and delicious bites! IG: @bbnem.eats

Exceptional service. Waitstaff is extremely attentive and has great rapport with kitchen as orders can be modified to personal preferences. Servers are not only friendly, they are extremely caring and many serve as bar tenders and can pair any meal with palate pleasing drink. Alan, the floor manager is unbelievably talented and over the Christmas season, entertained children as the all so friendly Grinch! Kids were amused and parents all so happy. If you get to know the wait staff they're not only talented authors, screenwriters, actors, or tradesmen, they each have families and wonderful stories to share if you're interested. I was at the hotel for the entire month recovering from surgery and they treated me with great kindness and understanding despite being so very busy at times. Jobe, Maya, Bryan, Carlos, and several others will treat you just as well. If you haven't been to the Peel yet, you need to go. It's bar is reminiscent of a neighborhood bar where friendlies congregate to watch some ball and talk smack. It's a place ladies can go and expect to be treated with respect. I never once saw a bar hound. The kids will love the fish pond, pool, and jacuzzi while at night, lovers will enjoy the romantic outdoor gas lit fires that provide a warm and embracing feel. I'll be returning in April for sure because as great as this hotel's location and amenities are, Alan and his team are Top-shelf pros who haven't forgotten that they're serving people and not customers. If you'd rather be treated like a customer, visit another hotel restaurant or better yet, the Wendy's across the street. The Peel, it's got just the right Feel!!!!

I attended an event at Peel Craft Bar recently. I haven’t been to this Doubletree hotel in many yearsss so it’s great to return to a vibrant and fresh lobby with great food and booze and fun atmosphere.

Alessandro was a friendly and efficient server. He gave us the scoop on the event menu and top selling dishes and shared his drink faves. The chef and sous chef also came out to say hi to each table - it was a really nice touch.

My favorites were the Pei mussels and Shrimp & Scallop Aguachile: both citrusy and super tasty. I absolutely love the curry broth of the mussels which went so well with the toasty bread. Both had very generous servings of seafood. If you like fried chicken wings with a spicy kick, they have it so delicious!

Loved my cocktails too: Como La Flor and Bloody Smoke. Very unique, colorful and refreshing! I’d love to try the other yummy cocktails!

I will most definitely return with my husband and friends! Highly recommended for after-work get-togethers!!! Hopefully they’ll have a brunch menu for weekend family brunches :)
