Urth Caffe ☕ 🥪 🥤 🍵 in City of Orange 🍊 Cali makes Us feel lucky 2 live so close! Everything exceeds expectations. Very unique in that regard. July 2025 has new specials. The paninis r so delicious ( even hav vegan menu). Great house specials and standard breakfast fare but with lots of flare & care. The bakery and pastries are almost beyond description. Huge display case with dozens of fresh daily offerings from vegan tiramisu - muffins - eclairs & so much more.

Customer Service has a lot 2 so w/ why this location is so popular...staff listens & is respectful. Also very competent! Usually defer to their expertise. They Listen very well 👍 Am disabled & am always helped in a discreet manner. Very intuitive & empathetic. Stellar spot for desserts and pastries of all kinds. Enjoy the beverages so much am tryN 1 of each. Luv that office colleagues brings 1 back almost daily ( am spoiled). Wonderful variety of Panini's. Easy to order pastries and wind up eating a meal. This particular Urth Caffe has an absolute STELLAR location & the interior design incorporates the original 🧱 building ( & original paint & signage) & is wide open w/ wonderful sunshine filtering inside. The main eating room has an incredible Fireplace. The "bar row" of desserts is VERY LONG & triple level ...lots of YUMMY 😋. Easy 2 find within Plaza ⏺️ Historical 📃 District across from Plaza ⛲ Park 🏞️. Prolly has the most "complete " set of offerings in - Total Gourmet Coffee & Teas category for all of Old Towne 🍊 Orange. Full restaurant but plus hands down epic Desserts and Pastries. The barista station is straight outta Europe. Options neverending.

---UPDATE--- DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! I looked at my credit card statement today, and sure enough, all 4x that I tried to order on my phone while in line all went through, even though the Urth Caffe website said that they payment did not go through. Another reviewer said the same. At the counter I told the manager Brian about trying to order online from my phone while in line and all 4 times I got a message that the payment didn't go through, he simply said no one else has complained. Something wonky is going on here, and I doubt I am the only person this has happened to.

Review: If you hate overly hyped over crowded places, then avoid this place. Parking is a nightmare. The line to order is out the door and doesn't seem to move (I waited 25 minutes). Signs everywhere say to order online but every time I tried it said it couldn't go through, and I tried 4x using two different cards (looking now, the card charges did go through on my credit cards and now I must dispute). They also have some guy who walks through the line and randomly picks who he wants to help. It felt discriminatory and I spoke up about it. I also told them that I tried to order online 4x w 2 different cards and none went through. The guy seemed dismissive, and said no one else has had that issue. Right, people just enjoy waiting 25+ in line when they don't have to? (looking at Yelp now another person wrote about it). Got food 10 mins after ordering at the counter (after waiting 25 minutes in line), my friend got her chai latte 20 mins after finishing her food, and I got my latte 10 mins after I got my food. This place is a mess. Avoid. Not worth the migraine nor the nonsense, NOR THE CREDIT CARD...

My friend and I decided to get lunch here once we found out it finally opened. Unfortunately, the experience was less than satisfactory and I feel as if the staff need a lesson in delivery of their customer service.

Our wait to order was at least 30 minutes which I can get past considering they are a new restaurant. Since the wait was long, I decided to go next door to Starbucks to grab a coffee. Once I got inside Urth to order, I was "greeted" by two different staff members telling me that outside drinks are not allowed. The first staff member to tell me was the cashier who was friendly in her approach and gave me an Urth Caffe cup to transfer my Starbucks to. However, as I was still standing at the cashier waiting for my friend to order, barely a minute went by before another staff member (he seemed like a manager but I am not sure) was less than friendly in his approach to remind me that outside drinks were not allowed. I showed him their cup that I was going to transfer my drink into but he continued to reiterate their policy aggressively in my opinion. I feel as if he did not need to be so aggressive in his approach, especially after I told/showed him that I was already aware and was going to honor their policy.

Overall, this small experience ruined my entire meal and I dont plan on returning. I am well aware and considerate of the fact that they have a policy that they must follow but customer service should be a priority too. I feel like this staff member in particular needs a lesson on delivery of...
