Years ago, the Biscuits Cafe in Oregon City would have received five (5) stars from me. I have lived in OC for 21 years, before Biscuits even existed. It was a happy place to go for Sunday brunch. I watched it deteriorate over the years and went back infrequently. Today, after church, I was so hungry, I thought, "Well, I'll give it another try." This is the last time. It's more than 3 strikes now. I ordered "to go" and was greeted by a person who came off as snippy. She kept interrupting me when I tried to ask about the new menu. I finally was able to order a scramble, which is no longer listed as a scramble, but listed instead under the category of omelets and scrambles. She kept repeated "We can make any omelet into a scramble!" I was interrupted again when I tried to ask about a previous scramble that was listed. Finally, I said, "OK, I want the veggie, but I want it as a scramble." Guess what?! When I got home, it was a **#@#$% omelet, dried out, and contained nothing tasty like sauce or an avocado which they used to include. No more little cups of raspberry jam, but the little square pre-packaged factory jams instead. The potatoes were brined down with salt and tasted weird. All this for what was supposed to be $17.00. When I got home, I saw that my account was debited for over $18.00. ...
Read moreNew to the area. Tried the place twice in the last two weeks. First time was on late Sunday morning the place was pretty busy, service was good, but the food was below average sent back two of the three items that came with my Two Biscut breakfast. The eggs weren't cooked correctly and the biscuts and gravy was cold. How bad is that a name like Biscuts Cafe and the main item "Biscuts" and Gravy are cold. Second time was early Saturday morning. Tried a Chorizo Omelet, the omelet was pretty good but my "crispy" hashbrowns weren't cooked correctly, they were bairly cooked on one side and under done, not even close to being crispy as requested. Didn't care much for their pancakes either, too dry. Anyway been their twice the cook staff seems to make what ever they want doesn't matter what you ask for. When I fussed to the waitress about things not being cooked right both times they seemed to act like they know and they can't do anything about it. Seems like the cooks run the place and they aren't running it well. I am not going back or at least Biscuts will be my last choice for breakfast in the area. Too bad too I live very close and it would be a perfect breakfast spot if the food was decent. Prices are high and the quality is low, so I have to...
Read moreWe are the second to be seated on Sat. @6:30 am. behind 1 gentleman. We order. Another couple is seated. Our food takes forever. It was sitting on the counter. I could see it from my seat. Waitress busy doing prep work, finally notices food and notices heat lamps are not on. Tells the cook to turn them on. Our food is delivered cold. Not tepid but cold. My husband asked her to microwave our plates, she said, “Sorry, we’ll just make it again.” That was great… until our food was brought to us. We could not eat the sausages, they appeared to have been deep fried. Couldn’t cut with a knife so crispy and hard. The scrambled eggs were underdone and swimming in oil. The hash browns were cooked on one side and siting in a pool of oil. We said we wouldn’t pay for the hash browns, but we weren’t going to eat what they said served and could we pay the remainder of the bill. The waitress to her credit didn’t charge us at all. We left her a $5.00 tip. We have been eating at Biscuits for 25 years, at their first location and the present location in Oregon City. This is not the first time we have been completely disappointed in last 4 years. It’s just this was so beyond ridiculously horrid. We will not return to this location again ever again. Bring...
