Their breakfast is usually awesome and I was REALLY craving the Pendleton skillet...but I never got to try it. I took my 4 year old niece and we were totally prepared for a wait. We brought a coloring book, crayons and toys. It took about 10 minutes before the server came over to get us drinks....I should've just told her my food order then, but I've been a server before and I know the game and don't want to be that impatient customer. As a server, you usually get the drink order first to buy yourself some time with your other tables, then when you bring the drinks you take the food order. Instead, she just dropped off the drinks and ignored us for another 10 or 15 minutes. By this time, my niece is loudly proclaiming how hungry she is and now asking me for candy from the machines she had seen on the way in.
Another group of people had come in about 10 minutes after we had sat down, and they weren't nearly as patient as I had been. They told her that they were in a hurry so she took their order. I should've just walked out then, but my niece had to use the restroom. As we walked to the restroom, the server said she would be over soon. By this time I was quite irritated and hungry, so I told her to just give us the bill for the coffee and milk. After paying $4.25 for the drinks, we left hungry. I ended up going through the McDonald's drive thru (I am soo against fast food typically) for my niece because she was so hungry.
I dropped my niece back at home and went to the Clackamas Wichita on my way home since I was still really hungry and craving the breakfast I had intended to eat earlier. When I got there, they were finished serving breakfast and I left hungry again. I ended up eating a bowl of...
Read moreWhat a shame… I came here years ago and had a good time and enjoyed good food.
But it’s quite clear that things have changed. I got a to go order (as I’m in a hurry and life is happening). As soon as I walk to the door I realized I did not have a mask….. But I saw people walking around without masks and sitting down without mask so I figured I would politely let the lady that worked there Know that I was here for a pick up order. She basically let me know I wasn’t going to get my food without having a mask. There was zero attempt to be polite and say “I’m on my second let me see if I can grab that for you I’m sorry you didn’t have a mask” or “Please don’t mind our hypocrisy as I see plenty of people walking around without a mask but I feel the need to target you” …It’s to go …what the heck ??? And no one else is wearing a mask …So I ran out and found a mask.
I decided to leave a three dollar tip rather than the $15-$20 I was going to do for Christmas because of the horrible service/hospitality….
I’m sure the food is going to be good. It’s just a shame that the Service and those who work Way below average.
But they are doing pretty good with her hypocrisy.
Perhaps getting nice people who smile and at least pretend they’re doing their job with a passion would be a good start.
I should’ve just went to five guys burger and fries. Even a cookie cutter outfit like that would’ve had way more...
Read moreHave been going to Wichita for awhile now and we usually go a few times a month. This morning we decided to go out for a family brunch. Was the most awful food and service. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak meal, which was terrible undercooked. It was essentially breakfast soup. The toast the waitress served him was so burnt it was black. We were appalled she even brought in to the table. When she finally returned to ask about our meal (my daughter and I were almost done) we told her about his awful meal. She asked us in a snarky tone if we wanted the cook to throw it back on. We declined as we were almost finished. She didn’t even apologize and charged us for the terrible $14 meal anyway. It is not her fault and she has no way to know the chicken fried steak was not cooked well but the black toast she served us was ridiculous. She obviously doesn’t care about customer service. So disappointed, we won’t...
