Bi-Mart Membership Discount Stores — Local services in Oregon City

My son and I just went to Bi-Mart to but food for the 2 football games, 2 wrist rockets.

We were denied our purchase as my son was handing over the food stamp card to pay for our food items (in which I was standing right there.) The cash for the non-food items.

The checker said that we had resticted items. So I was gonna pay. She said it was a against the law.

So I told her take it off our bill. I will walk outside , walk in and purchase the items myself. She then told me I was breaking the law.

By now I was on my way fast to being pissed off. She argued a few minutes more the called over the acting store manager.

As he went through our things. He stated to her "what's restricted?" He asked her. She hesitated stating "the wrist rockets, and flint."

The manager - "those are not restricted items."

Cashier - "he can't buy the flint."

The manager - "yes he can."

Long story short. I did not break the law and the women was put in her place for trying to impose 'Her' ideals on to me and my...

Each time I go to the store, there are different items available. Some are just wonderful and the prices are amazing. Also, I have been there many times over years, but recently I discovered a whole new set of items which apparently have been available for a long time, but I just did not see them! I just LOVE that. You can get all sorts of stuff there: Food, kitchen items, fishing gear, great deals on work and farm clothes, pharmacy items, farm animal feed, electronic items, pet food and equipment and toys, and I could list many more. The prices are lower compared to other stores, the staff are friendly and remember me and are helpful, the store is clean. I like that the store is employee owned, too. It is not Corporate America where a few get super wealthy and the rest...

I normally like BiMart. This visit was not so. I visited this store three times in the last week. Each time I was there I pondered buying a paddleboard that was marked 20% off. I decided to buy it on the last day of the sale. It rang up as 20 dollars off instead of the 57 it should have been. After inquiring at the check stand. I went back to the isle, and the sign had been removed. I bought the board anyway. It seemed like a bait and switch to me. Very disappointed in how that was handled.
