Butcher Block — Local services in Oregon City

Service and food are all excellent at Butcher Block. A good place for romantic date night. We had the 20oz dry aged ribeye which was delicious in its own right yet was surprisingly beat out in my opinion by the (non dry aged) 12oz fillet that our companions ordered. Disappointing given how much the dry aged aspect of their offering are highlighted. I suppose that can be explained purely due to the quality of the cut.

Drinks were also on par for what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. One bit of constructive criticism I may offer on the cocktail offerings is they need to invest in large cube or spherical ice, it would elevate their drinks...

Changing my review from a 5 star to a 1 star. I believe some of the other reviewers are correct in saying this man is checking out, waiting to retire. I got the #30 Variety Pack, like so many times before. Did not get what was listed to receive, upon arriving home I notice the pot roasts are just huge slabs of pork, and I only got 1lb of chicken. I did not receive what I paid for, and will definitely not be returning!

If the owner is just waiting to retire, SHUT THE DOORS! It's not fair to paying customers that we expect one thing one get something completely different!!

very unimpressed with the owner - the combination of lazy and arrogant with unhelpful makes this a hard pass in the future. shop doesn't seem very clean, inventory is sparse. it is sad there is no real competition as this place would quickly go under if professional upmarket place were anywhere nearby. its also dead. after being massively disappointed, drove almost half an hour to white's, where i had to wait half an hour to get my order as it was packed. so i guess their upshot is, i was the only customer the two times i came in....
