I went in to this store on Saturday to discuss options for upgrading to a new phone. The salesman, Jim, answered questions and confirmed cost of the upgrade. After the decision was made, Jim processed the transaction and charged me triple the amount discussed in error! He was unable to reverse the charge or cancel, so the unauthorized payment stuck. He cited that nothing could be done on his side. Jim was unable to return the money or even provide a new phone! The account was frozen and I was forced to walk out with nothing. Because this isn't a corporate store, the burden was now placed on me. I HAD to contact my bank, I HAD to follow up with corporate Verizon, with absolutely no help from this store. Jim provided his contact information and after several conversations he asked that the contact stop and to call his Manager, Ryan. With all of the communication and irritation during a 4 day period - and still no resolution (refund of money owed to me), you would think that Ryan would have already contacted me to discuss this situation. A situation where a customer is charged in error for hundreds of dollars, doesn't immediately get refunded and has to walk out with nothing, clearly has the right to be frustrated and angry. I question the integrity of this store. I still do not have resolution and have been in contact with corporate Verizon every day since the error and unauthorized charge. Which is a great idea as it assures people that their personal information was erased. Mason put the screen covers on our phones, explained about registering the screen covers in case of damage. Mason was calm, friendly, didnāt hurry through information, took time to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our new equipment. We never felt hurried/rushed. I never felt that answering my questions was bothersome or treated like I wasnāt very smart because I needed the help and explanations. Mason was very informative! While I was on the phone with customer care. It was suggested that I go to the nearest Verizon Store to change out my SIM card. I asked the rep if I could go to any one even though it was authorized retailer. She said yes. Up on arriving I informed the clerk that I was on line with customer care and needed a SIM card replacement. The clerk said no. Thought about it for a second and then said he was out of SIM cards.
