We wanted to like this sooo bad… however the spicy Szechuan dumplings were more of a soup. That had zero flavor or spice. The broth was white I had to add allot of chili oil for even a little bit of flavor. The next thing we had was spicy ramen noodles with pork. The noodles by themselves were okay. Nothing to rave about very thick. The hard part was the veggies which were over cooked and stringy and I love veggies so that was sad. Then the pork was so fatty and we barely got to eat any of it. The second you mixed it into the broth it disintegrated… it was weird. We honestly both stopped eating. I have to say I’m super disappointed. We were so excited about this place. I’m hoping this was a one off bad night and maybe we can try again a different time.

MUST TRY! WOW even the veggie options are absolutely favorable! Their pricing is great. The smaller portioned options that are only $5.95 are even filling. Pretty consistent quality anytime myself or friends go. A smaller place with small staff and wait time is fairly decent, but could be perfected a little more. Family friendly. Serves alcohol as well as kid friendly beverages. The aesthetic is nice, BUT should have low key music playing for a better vibe and unfortunately the seating in the middle of the room seems not private at all. They need better dividers and I wish the both seating had higher backs so you are leaning backwards into someone else's head ... But has become a few of our favorite spots🥟🍜⛩️

The place was nice and clean but was kind of small, hard to walk around when seated in the middle of the restaurant. All the food was way too salty. My son loves dumpling soup or wonton soup, which was surprisingly weird that he didn't eat his here. I tasted it here, and it was really salty and had no flavor. Ramen was salty, and my daughter didn't eat hers at all, and she loves to eat. I also ordered drinks, and the drinks were okay but pricey compared to other places. I can honestly say I won't be coming back. This place was pricey and wasn't good.

I’m absolutely appalled by the service I got here. I would like to start out saying that it’s the same owners as the sushi place next door which I’ve been a loyal customer to since literally the day they opened and have NEVER complained about anything. I also have been to Dough Valley probably six times. I ordered several items including the shrimp shumai. I had ordered them two other times without issue. I tasted one and it tasted funny and smelt weird. I tried one and spit it into a napkin. The waitress came over with the bill and I explained the situation and she went and got the owner from the sushi place. She came over and proceeded to tell me there’s nothing she can do, it’s the same dumpling they’ve always had and nothing has changed. I explained that I didn’t know what was wrong, but something was not right. She said she would give me half off and I said “forget it I’ll pay the $5.95 and I’ll just never come back”. She grabbed the remaining dumplings and said she was going to bring them in the back/kitchen to try them and walked away. I was so appalled by this that I just went to the counter and paid the server for everything including the bad shumai. The fact that an owner was basically calling me a liar is insane especially after being a loyal customer for both of her establishments. This place isn’t great, it has frozen dumplings that they reheat, nothing made from scratch, but it was convenient rather than going to Dough Zone in Portland, but now it looks like that’s what I’ll have to do for quality and better service. They’ve lost a customer over $5.95 and makes sense why both places are always dead. Save your money and...

Came into the restaurant when it was completely empty. The only other table was on their way out. The waitress didn’t seem to know what she was doing and we had to ask multiple times for silverware and napkins. Had to get up multiple times to order our food. It was our first time there so we weren’t sure how the restaurant worked.

Ordered multiple different items from the menu, including soup dumplings, wonton soup, potstickers, and ramen. The soup dumplings were dry and flavorless, the spicy wonton soup was inedible and so greasy. The ramen had no flavor and the noodles were not cooked all the way. The meat was dry and the broth was flavorless.

We then went to the waitress and explained that we were not happy with the food and that it was so bad we were unable to eat it. She said she would go get her boss who then came to the table and immediately started demanding that we pay. We were not trying to leave without paying just simply wanted to not pay for the three items we did not eat. The pork wontons, spicy wonton soup and the ramen. The other items we took bites of and were willing to pay for. She was extremely rude, did not offer any solutions or even apologize. Said that all the times sold on the menu come from a box and that they just follow the directions. She said over and over that this is not the place for us and to not come back.

Both of us work is the service industry and never complain, let alone send food back or have a bad enough experience to write a review. Please don’t waste your time or money on either of the business this lady owns. She is extremely disrespectful and...

it was a terrible experience. my partner cannot have mushrooms due to him previously getting food poisoning from them, they now make him extremely sick. we specifically wrote on the papers that they use to have customer write orders on “NO MUSHROOMS” but apparently the lady (who i am assuming was the owner) thought that we had wrote to add them… he tried to power through eating it but began to feel sick so we had gotten a servers attention and told her that he specifically asked for no mushrooms, he no longer had an appetite so we had asked to have it removed from the tab since the bowl was still almost completely full and barely eaten. she said that she was going to get her boss, the boss then comes up to us and argued with us about what we wrote and said that she would bring the sheet back to us and show us, when she realized that we did in fact write “no mushrooms” she continued to argue with us and say that next time we need to tell her directly. It came time to checkout, we went up to the front and the server removed the item from our tan, the owner saw that she was interacting with us so she came up and must have re added the item to the ticket and said that all she can do is give us $5 off our ENTIRE order which was only 10% off. Mind you, I come from the service industry, this is no way to run a restaurant. None of the staff even seemed to know what they were doing. We paid for a meal we didn’t even have. We will not be going back and if you’re looking to dine here, i would find another spot similar with better service. don’t...
