Sorrento Italian Bistro — Restaurant in Oregon City

Got seated and waited to what felt like 15 minutes before getting water. Our food took FOREVER!!! First was our one appetizer and bread we shared between the three of us. We ate that which probably took 15-20 minutes. Still waited for about another 15 minutes for our soup to come out with the clams. The clams were HORRIBLE!!!! It honestly looked like it was in dirty dish water, it was luke warm and had no flavor! Like seriously, how could they serve that?!?!!! Then waited more, probably another 15-20 minutes for our entrees. My fettuccine Alfredo tasted like linguine and clams without the clams. The other server was serving food to people that sat after us. Her guests ate and paid before we got our entrees! Not sure if it was our server or how the kitchen runs but this place kinda sucks. The food was bad. Pasta was overcooked and the sauce was watered down Hunt's sauce from the can. Literally my pasta was soggy. The Bolognese was clearly a marinara topped with browned ground meat. The bread, soup, and salad were unremarkable - very old spaghetti factory (but I actually like OSF). Absolutely overpriced for the quality. Go to Nebbiolo same price, better quality.

The restaurant is small so the staff chatting behind the bar about shift swaps and baseball practice was heard by the entire restaurant. There was also an incident were the server charged part of one tables bill to another's. It was reticified quickly and politely but was heard by the entire restaurant. The service was well paced and very friendly.

If you know the area, parking is best behind the restaurant. The staff was out back vaping both times we walked by - kinda whatever for the price point of the restaurant but off...

First, this review is being written after two visits that were over a month apart. Also, the owners and staff are extremely friendly and I love the atmosphere. That being said, the wait time for the food is crazy slow. The first visit, my wife waited over an hour and a half for our meals. We were in the restaurant for over two hours. The second visit was with my wife and mother and father in law. We were in the restaurant for an hour and fifteen minutes before our food came. The waiter was crazy busy. So busy, he was unable to remember any single request we made. Ketchup, extra cheese, the whole visit we had our water glasses filled once. Food is really good and again, super friendly people work here. We will try one more time but the service issues need to be improved for us to continue to bring...
