Listen, their sandwiches are fantastic. They’re sizable, very fresh, with good ingredients. And when you order in the store they’re really nice, and they work quickly. So why the poor review?
Their online order/takeout/delivery app vendor ChowNow is awful. I’ve had multiple orders I’ve needed to abandon and just drive to the store and make in person because the website couldn’t process an Apple Pay order, or the App couldn’t, then couldn’t process a Visa payment, or claimed I already had an active order when I tried to make a new one. And you can’t call in your order; it routes again through ChowNow. And if you click on “Contact Us” for support, you might have the result I did where I made the drive to the restaurant and placed a new order with cash, before ChowNow ever responded.
To top it all off the prices through ChowNow are at least 15-20% higher than in store. The broken order I was trying to submit through the app totaled roughly $57. I just paid in store for the same order roughly $48. For the additional cost ChowNow is driving into the orders, no one is getting any service that I can see. A complete shambles.
And yes, I’m rating the store poorly even though these are ChowNow issues. It was Monkey Subs decision to partner with them, they ultimately own the outcome in deciding this is how they want to...
Read moreI would stop ordering from Monkey's Subs completely if my daughter didn't love their subs. Their subs are good. Their customer service is not. The staff have no phone manners. Before tonight, the last time I called in an order (two weeks ago at most), they answered, "hello?" like it's not even a business. And that was a successful phone order. In the past three months I've tried calling multiple times and they never even answered. The phone eventually went to voicemail, which again, had a greeting that was not for a business. Tonight I tried calling three times, and when voicemail picked up, the mailbox was full. On my fourth attempt, an employee answered and just after stating the business name, accidentally hung up the call. I tried calling twice more and their phone was off. Three other times in the past three months when trying to order, they were out of bread. The last time they told me that it was because it was "close to closing time." It was a full hour and 15 minutes before closing. And don't even get me started on the employee who tried to charge me EXTRA when I wanted to order the turkey bacon avocado sandwich WITHOUT BACON! Read moreCanyon location .. young blonde girl with blue and pink strands in her hair.. attitude was extremely off putting and it was obvious she didn't want to be there. she was cleaning the door window when we approached and told us to "give her a second" while she finished. i also noticed my soda was mostly carbonation and little syrup so i asked her if she could check it, and she responded with a big sigh and again, told me to hold on. she said that they didn't have a replacement and to choose something else (they were already out of Pepsi) so my options were limited with the Dr. Pepper also being out. The overall quality of the way the sandwich she made was awful. Her co worker seemed to try to help her out but she wasn't listening.
