Always thought this place was wonderful until Today. After the owner took me outside to discuss how her hired help was not paid to help my Elderly Aunt in the door as she requires a walker and someone to hold the door and would prefer my Aunt bring someone with her to assist her with that, as her wait staff didn't have time to do such things. Last I checked that was hospitality & common courtesy, not an issue. Especially after my Aunt has been dining there every day for the Past 10 years....WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME THERE!!!!! I recommend if anyone reading this has grandparents, parents , or any other senior citizen in your family avoid this place, because the owner doesn't care to have their business or patronage. I have yet to eat at The Stockpot. My boyfriend and I arrived at 6am for breakfast (google lists their hours 6am-2pm). We were sadly turned away because they open at 7am NOT 6am. I suggested google edits these hours. It’s kinda annoying and a disappointment when you make plans around the hours Google puts on google search and turns out they aren’t even the correct hours after all. Just wanted to let everyone know of this error so nobody shows up at 6am expecting them to be open. I will say they were very friendly and apologetic though. Truly amazing little gem in Coosbay. If your hungry this is your place. Nice big plates and fresh food. There is always a truck load of people but don't let that scare you off. If there is a wait its short and well worth it. Chicken fried steak was great, bacon waffle was crazy good, pluse they have there secret honey syrup. Hamburger was great. I got the lumberjack it was insanely big and the meat tasted great. If you on the road passing through town, and want something classic but truly amazing then you need to tey them out.
