The Blue Moon Saloon in Coos Bay, Oregon is the quintessential dive bar experience. The atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming, with a cast of interesting and friendly regulars. The bartenders are knowledgeable and make great recommendations for both drinks and local spots to check out. They are also incredibly friendly and create a warm and inviting environment. The bar itself is a bit rough around the edges, but that only adds to its charm. If you're looking for a place to unwind with a drink and good conversation, the Blue Moon Saloon is a must-visit spot in Coos Bay.

The first thing I loved when I walked in was the smell of clean it smelled very fresh, and you can tell they had just cleaned. The waitress. Chelsea is super nice. they can customize the dishes. Cook is super nice. we are just visiting here but I can guarantee this is where we’re going to come again when we stop coming through town again

We came here after they stopped serving dinner but tbe lovely bartender still served us fish and chips and some amazing drinks. I asked for something sweet and she made me a hard root beer float, it was INCREDIBLE. There was a nice atmosphere here and very friendly staff. A good place to unwind and have a drink after a long day.

We were there for a family Sunday breakfast. There were 6 adults and 1 toddler. The food was great and service was okay. The server was busy and the cooks were also. The food was great bar food and would have been super fantastic if you were hungover.

We were not given silverware. When we finally asked we were still not given enough forks and had to re ask. This was after our meal was delivered. It might be they are short dishwashers but it just seemed odd she couldn’t run 7 forks and napkins over at some point during our wait. We were not given knives even after asking. We were right by the door and across from the cash register and silverware. The chicken fried steak knives had to be used to cut pancakes. She never brought the water I ordered but did great on refilling the coffee that others drank. I didn’t keep bugging her about it. It wasn’t worth it.

We had to ask for jam it was never offered. Once it was brought to the table it looked like it might have been homemade. I had the gravy which was good.

The biscuits were fantastic. They looked to be homemade and fresh baked. I could have ordered just a plate of plain...

I really wanted to like our breakfast at Blue Moon. However, we never actually tasted said breakfast, but not for a lack of trying... or waiting. After putting in an order, we sat at the counter for one full hour. There was no rush of customers to contend with, a fairly light to medium number of tables overall. It was explained to us that the cook was new. Apparently he was new not just to food preparation and order expediting, but also to our planet's gravity. Then as the big hand finally went all the way around the clock, we were told our orders were nearly ready, but that my girlfriend's breakfast was to be missing some items. Thanks, but no thanks. Maybe the food is tremendously great,...

Food was good. I felt like we could have been informed the food portion sizes are quite large I ordered too much food and the bill was about $50.00 for breakfast for 3 plus tip, which I myself find kind of expensive, but it was definately worth it. The place was clean and had slot machines so that was also a drop of another $80.00 in the machines as well so all in all good customer for them and good food and good money for Oregon lottery as well . I will return for breakfast again when I'm in town and have a hankering for a $100.00 breakfast!! Well worth it!! Service was good but not super attentive there was a few regulars coming in about 1200 to get breakfast as well, so it started to...
