Lucky Loggers RV Park — Local services in Coos Bay

We were here as full time residents for several years. Boy, oh boy, am I glad we finally were able to leave RV life behind and leave this place in our rearview mirror. It wasn't always so bad when there was on-site management, though when there was they'd be nagging constantly about small things (one of the old managers approached my car as I was driving by just to tell me about a light being out on my car that wasn't a light to begin with, just a reflector...).

Every "management" person that has come through Lucky Loggers has been about the same, nagging and overbearing. Notably, Deerpoint Meadows (who owns the franchise that bought the park) left it without on-site management for quite some time until recently. No bathrooms being cleaned, no service for long-term or short-term stays (read other reviews), and the place fell into serious disrepair. I saw the same clump of hair that some messy guest left on the shower wall stay there for months.

The washing facilities in the laundry are disgusting most of the time and seldom cleaned. I would have to bring disinfectant cleaning wipes to clean the machine before I would feel comfortable putting my laundry in there.

We were left without power for 3, almost 4, days in the middle of the summer time. The only issue was a breaker that needed to be flipped back on, but not a single person was available to come fix it. Even the power company came by but they could not access the locked breaker box. All of our cold food spoiled and we ended up in a hotel for the last 2 nights of that to be able to charge our phones and stay some semblance of sane.

We were promised a discount on our next month's rent due to this fiasco that never materialized. The upper management leaves much to be desired and doesn't really seem to care if their facilities are in disrepair and their customers aren't happy as long as they are making money.

A few months back the women's restroom had about 6 inches of water on the ground and came out in a wave when I opened the door. A pipe had burst, clearly. Nobody even came to shut off the water until the next day. There is now black mold visible from the maintenance shed, the backside of the walls in the bathrooms, and they have attempted to fix the flooding issue but to no avail. Health hazard.

Things are slightly better now that there is part time management, but as I understand it she is only there 3 days out of the week. This place needs some serious help and needs full time management again. I'd advise just about anyone to avoid it unless they have no other options, though its central location in downtown Coos...

Pros: It is centrally located in Coos Bay, two blocks off Highway 101 and in walking distance to two major grocery stores. The entire park is comprised of asphalt, with level sites and both 30 and 50 amp full hookups, though no cable. There is a laundry room, small game room, men and women’s bathroom and coke machine. Reservation and billing system is automated and efficient. ||Cons: Sites are stacked on top of each other, tight fit for larger rigs, no shade, no views, no pool and it is NOT a resort. The majority of the sites are made up of full-time working residents with predominately large trucks, trailers, boats and motorcycles. This is nothing more than a RV parking lot which is owned an managed by RV Inn Style Resorts. Nothing more than an overnight and off in the morning stay at best. ||We arrived on a Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and left on Friday during which time the office remained closed and no staff was found to be on site. We had previously advised that we had a very important Amazon delivery scheduled for the day of arrival and couldn’t locate the delivery. We then learned the park does NOT accept any USPS or other deliveries and had to track our package down at the post office itself. You need to download the Prempoint app to access the very limited amenities, laundry, small game room and bathroom. Tried doing laundry and lost $5.00 in two different washing machines that were inoperative and dared not to try any other machines.||The attached photographs accurately depict our site and note, neither of the two trucks parked directly next to our entrance/exit door...

Terrible. Rate quoted was $420.00 without a Bay view. They neglected to say "plus electric". Strike one. When we asked if they had WiFi, they told us yes and when we asked how it was, they bragged that it was the best in town. They neglected to say it is not included and would cost an extra $45.00 a month for our two computers and Q Box. Strike two. The first night I went to use the bathroom at 10pm, rather than stink up our small trailer. It was chained shut! Strike three. So, make sure you ask EVERY question you can think of, about everything that is important to you, and read the fine print and the rules on the page and the rules on the wall in the office before you pay. That way you won't end up with a bitter, sick taste in your mouth like we got from this place. There are absolutely NO refunds! We feel violated and lied to. P.S. Response to owner: 1) No misunderstanding . . . the woman did NOT say "plus electric and extra for streaming or more than one device". And the cost is per device. 2). Nowhere did we say we don't like our site. We love it! 3). One doesn't see the sign until one uses the bathroom. 4). The Women's room is out of soap. Oh, and paper towels and...
