I bought the strawberry cream and the ferrero rocher donuts.
What I liked: The cream tasted fresh and real, there was no oiliness to it at all and there wasn't too much sweetness to it. The hazelnut chocolate glaze was decadent and rich. The berries were fresh. The donuts were fried in a light oil that did not make them taste at all greasy. The dough was thick, fluffy, chewy, and perfectly cooked. The bakery offers a variety of interesting and unique donuts (passion fruit and ube for example). The staff were friendly and the store is very cute. The pink flower wall is pretty and would be great if you're the sort who likes to take pictures with your food.
What I didn't like: The filling of the ferrero rocher donuts tasted exactly like the cheap chocolate pudding cups they give you in the hospital. I was hoping for a thick, creamy, almost custard-like filling, and instead I was met with bubbly fake chocolate flavor. I isolated a few bites and determined that the donut was 100% better when the pudding interior was avoided. I LIVE for cream filled donuts, so this was disappointing to me. Also, I know this is going to sound crazy, but there was actually too much cream in the strawberry cream donut. It was hard to eat, made a mess, and caused flavor fatigue pretty quickly. If there was a little less cream, and more of the fresh berries it would have been much better. Also, I knocked it down another star because those 2 donuts together cost $11 and that's just too expensive for two donuts. I might return at some point in the future to try the other more exotic flavors, but I won't be rushing...
Read moreThis place has some of the best donuts I’ve ever tried. The donuts are very soft and not overly sweet! They have such unique flavors and they are beautiful! My only complaint is they are a bit pricey. We spent like 30 dollars on 6 donuts. But they are quite fancy, so I can understand why. Anyways, I got a half dozen and here are my reviews of each donut Strawberry and cream: Amazing! There’s a reason it’s the best selling donut. I would eat 10 of these if I could. Hot Guava: Also very good! Such a unique flavor and it has a little kick to it. Coconut: Not overly sweet which was super nice. Not my favorite donut out of all of them but still very solid. Ferrero Rocher:Tastes exactly like the chocolate but in donut form. Also not my favorite out of all of them, but still good. KitKat: not a fan. Tasted like a donut you could get anywhere else. Just a normal chocolate donut. Passion fruit cream cheese: had high hopes for this one but ended up being my least favorite. The passion fruit and cream cheese were very tart and I personally didn’t think they went well together. But that’s just personal opinion. Overall I thought the donuts were very good! This is one of my new favorite...
Read moreI had never been here before - and I went in to see what delectible things I could be tempted with - and I found the Strawberry and Cream Donut. It looked so freaking amazing - and it tasted even better!!! I had gone in looking for a chocolate cake donut - but they didn't have any. They had a lot of really crazy filled donuts - with toppings like kit-kat, etc. Which seemed like they would have crazy amounts of sugar in them. (not saying that what I chose didn't either!) but they just seemed over the top filled with sugar. When I saw the Strawberry and Cream donut it looked so good - I knew right away that was what I was going to get. I took it home and had it with my Saturday AM coffee - and I thought I was going to die!!! Amazingly enough it wasn't sickeningly sweet - apparently it was stuffed with chantilly cream (which I'd not heard of) which is not that typical sweetly sick cream that gets stuffed in stuffed donuts.
I have decided that I have to drive out to Orem more often (I live 15-20 minutes away) JUST so I can get another one of these...
