Literally just finished my meal and I had to hop on here and tell you guys about it. I had mojarra…I’m sorry I don’t remember the name. I had an amazing grilled tilapia with an amazing red sauce. I even got to try a little of my mom’s napalis. When I took a bite of my fish my eyes literally swelled with tears. And every bite was like that. Every. Single. Bite. I’m not kidding I think I need to buy them all Christmas gifts this year. The fish tasted fresh and not even slightly muddy. It was crisp on the outside and bursting with juicy buttery flesh in the inside. I didn’t eat most of my beans and rice (which were also AMAZING) because I wanted to eat alllllll of my fish. I wish I had asked for a little bit of the sauce to go because it’s the perfect amount of spicy and refreshing. Everyone who works there is very kind and the owner went table to table to talk to everyone. The inside of the restaurant was nice and warm and the music was relaxing but still gave me a little bit of a sway. The paintings on the wall all were so gorgeous and it just added to the joyful experience. I’ve literally never had better Mexican food in my life and I’m from California! (Which as it turns out was far from authentic.)
THIS is the spot, THIS is...
Read moreWe came here for our birthdays after seeing an amazing Instagram post about this cute little restaurant. Despite being so excited for a good authentic Mexican restaurant like back home I sadly had my worst birthday dinner I’ve ever had.
We quickly learned we made a poor choice. We ordered two things of chips and salsa and only got one. We had to ask again for another order. We ordered everyone’s drinks and she forgot about one of the kids drinks we asked four separate times before the last kids drink was brought out and she didn’t bring it till everyone was done eating. When our food was brought out it was luke-warm at best. I asked if the horchata was refillable and it wasn’t (which that’s fine and I have no problem with it) but when I asked for just a water instead she never brought it. All of the sodas and waters that everyone order never got refilled despite being asked. However when my son (without my knowledge) asked for his horchata to be refilled she promptly brought another drink out for him and charged us.
Also just a note if you use a credit card they charge a 3% fee.
The only real positive I have about this place is despite being a small shop it is decorated very cute and is clean from what...
Read moreThe worse place to eat.... bad food, took forever even though the place was empty. We never got our drinks at first, I had to go ask for our drinks after a long wait, then the waiter had our orders wrong, then the worse part was the food, the "lengua" tacos (cow's tongue) were so greasy, big chuncks and didn't taste good. And they had onion and cilantro on them, when I has ask for plain tacos, so the waiter took them to the kitchen, and they only removed the onion and cilantro and brought them back, instead of making new ones, I could still see some of the cilantro in them. The fried fish needed much salt. And the other plate we ordered was very salty. The tacos dorados looked disgusting even to taste them. When we complainted to the owner she said at first we didn't have to pay anything if we didn't want to. But after a while she changed her mind and wanted to give us a discount only. We're definitely never coming here again! In 15 yrs living in Utah, this is the worse dining place I've ever been to.
