Opa Food & Spirits — Restaurant in Orion Charter Township

Honestly the worst dinner and the most horrible service I have ever experienced in my life. Started off with a five minute wait after being seated to get a drink order. Amber our server is one of the nicest young ladies you could ever meet but a very poor server. When she arrives with our drinks she drops them off and before I knew she had walked away. I was thinking she was finally going to bring us menus. After a long couple of minutes still no menus and a waitress who was serving a section near to ours noticed our neglect of service and brought a couple of menus. Mean while a six top is being seated in that waitresses section who helped us with the menus. As our party a two top looks at the menu we notice the outstanding service the six top is receiving. 15 minutes after being at Opa our order is being taken. We order the saganaki for appetizer, a greek salad, and a 10 piece hot wings. For the record at this point in our visit the six top has already received there appetizers and are well past us being a two top and being sat 10 minutes prior to the six top. Our flame cheese arrives and it looks as if it sat under a heat lamp for 5 minutes, it was a burned hard thin layer on top and bottom and a very thin melted layer in the middle. At the time i didn't know what to make of it but it was not the tasty appetizer that i desired it would be. It tasted very bad. Now its a 20 minute wait for dinner as we watch our chicken wings sit under the heat lamp for 5 to 10 minutes. Our waitress Amber has still not been to our table since she took our order. Finally our wings and salad arrive together. The wing were cold and dried out like they were sitting for a while before someone realized it. The food served to us was so poor due to Amber not paying any attention to her table. I asked another waitress to talk to a manager after sitting through the dinner with no stops to see if everything was good or if anyone need a drink. The only time we were asked for a refill was when we told Tamy the manager about our horrible dinner here. Tamy almost looked at me like she didn't believe me and only offers to take the wings off the bill. I have never in my life had such poor service and in return poor food because of it with minimal compensation. I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know not...

Upon arrival I found a total of 10 patrons. 1 waitress and 1 bartender. I found a table close to the bar and sat. 15 minutes later a waitress took my drink order. I received the drink 5 minutes later. Once I received my drink I was presented with a menu. 10 minutes later I was asked if id like another drink. I asked for a beer and she said ok. 10 minutes after, she came back and said she doesn't have that beer (Killian's red). I asked if I could please order food. 10 minutes later she came back to take my order. I made an order for Mac n cheese and a appetizer of saganaki. Once my Mac n cheese came; the bartender asked if id like a drink and I asked for a miller lite. She brought the beer and then: 3 minutes after, my appetizer came out. Mac n cheese was okay at best. I've never had saganaki before so my review of it is irrelevant, but after finishing my Mac n cheese, I started on the saganaki and the cheese was oily and needed to be cut with a knife. Very lemony. On the men's bathroom door the lock on the handle is broken to the single persons bathroom.

Overall the entree was good. I think more staff for lunch time is needed. The waitress worked hard to take care of everyone but, I feel I suffered quick service, service etiquette, and a quality experience as a customer. I won't be back for lunch again but I'll try dinner sometime when there...

Update 5/28/2024 Unsatisfied Fish & chips (dryed out) 2 pc fish, not cut the same size but cooked for the same amount of time was very overcooked Blk. Ceaser chicken wrap was chopped so much it fell out of the wrap, my shirt is oily, stained. (Caeser salad does not have RED ONION) Overpowered and I didn't taste the dressing, ended up eating with a fork?

Previous review below The place looks great, service was very good. The bar was full " football Sunday" there were a few other tables. Setting up for the Playoff game GO LIONS MANY TELEVISIONS.... Our food was "the best I've ever had here. Used to be inconsistent. Quit coming a couple years ago Pleasantly surprised My niece is having major dental work and she has to have softer food, She chose the MAC DADDY Mac n' cheese with pulled pork on top and really good garlic cheese bread. The Mac n cheese was HOT & creamy cheesey good little crisp edges and tender pulled pork, seasoning good. I would order this dish I opted for a Burger and fries The krinkle cut fries were really hot & crispy. I ordered the 1/4# burger (med?) The lettuce tomato and onion all very fresh. Great bum w/sesame seeds
