They get 4 stars only because I am NOT an ice cream/custard lover (I believe it would be a 5 for most people though). But this place was amazing...on one of my covid date nights with my girlfriend, we drove around looking for different meal/snack options to try out. Then when found a place called Andy's. Wow, this place had an apple pie concrete that was out of this world! We ended up telling our families about it because they love ice cream and frozen custard so much. They also have these dipped bars that would make you want to overeat without remorse because they are just that good. I tried a salted caramel dipped bar. The chocolate on the outside was flavorful and the salted caramel custard on the inside was life changing because I have always enjoyed a solid salted caramel flavor; and Andys did it well. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try because they have so many crazy menu options (way too many for me to remember). But Andy's gets a definite thumbs...
Read moreUpdate: 9/1/20... Orland Park location has become my new go to Andy's! This location (Orland Park) serves custard the way the Oak Lawn location use to, firm, thick, and creamy. I ordered a small key lime concrete, easy blend and I was able to eat the entire one before it melted. I eat very slowly and the concretes at the Oak Lawn location melt half way through completing the small cup. There was a time this did not occur though. Oak Lawn must have changed their settings or recipe or something. I enjoyed my key lime concrete more today at Orland Park than I have any concrete in several months. I also purchased a pint of the key lime concrete. Hopefully this pint will be better than the one I purchased from Oak Lawn. You could barely taste any key lime pie in the Oak Lawn pint. The key lime concrete in pints and quarts is a new item and I don't think they have mastered the flavoring yet. I will keep you posted once I dig into the Orland Park key...
Read moreI frequent Andys so often and tonight I was treated so horribly I almost never want to return. My order was taken from tablet and when I got to the window to pay I kindly ask for It to be upgraded to a large. The cashier said no problem and proceeded to ask me a million questions about my order with such a huge attitude. She told me It was no longer a “James Brownie” but then continued to tell her team the alterations to the said “JamesBrownie”. Cashier then tells me “next time dont do that because you caused too much confusion” . Again all I asked was to upgrade the size on my order. Im utterly disgusted by the way I was treated by the cashier with red hair and...
