08-10-2025 My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary, once again, at Cooper's Hawk. Our wait staff took our order for both our appetizer and main dish. We decided to try meals other than our usual: I ordered the fillet mignon and my wife ordered a chicken dish. It took a little while to get our appetizer, but that wasn't a big concern. Once I received my steak, I immediately regretted the order. The steak was tender, but really small. My wife didn't care for her chicken, because she has difficulty with dry foods. We wanted to order a cola beverage to make it easier for her, but the wait staff couldn't be found. Well it didn't take much time to finish my $45 steak, which I'll never order again. I thought about asking other employees for a coke, but my wife thought our wait staff would show soon, but she didn't. I think she must be new to this job.

When she finally arrived my wife's food was too cold to eat, but I ordered a coke anyway. Once the coke arrived, I asked for our check and containers.

After receiving the check, I realized our wait staff was waiting just behind me, so I paid. I was more than ready to vacate this place. My wife noticed that she had actually received a meal that she did not order. It was a chicken dish, but not the one she ordered.

The receipt was strange. It had a minor discount and a charge that made no sense, but we were ready to go. The worst service and meal, made our 40th anniversary sadly memorable. I can't believe I actually left a tip, she didn't deserve one.

12-23-2019 Cooper's Hawk is an active restaurant with a very stimulating environment, and excellent service. I selected the salmon, and after the first bite, I realized what a wonderful choice it was. The portions were generous and the taste made me close my eyes to savor. MAN! That was soooo good! I don't usually clean my plate, but couldn't help it that day. They, however, wouldn't give me the recipe.

Cooper's Hawk 08-10-2020 We just enjoyed our 35 anniversary dinner I ordered online, and thankfully the weather gave me a chance to pick it up safely. The meal was fantastic, and along with our rum&coke, my wife and I feel no pain. There is nothing better than eating a meal that satisfies from appetizers, side dishes to main course. Costly but...

Not impressed at all. Food was good. Hospitality wasn't there. The lady that sat us at our table was very informative. It was our first time there. She explained about the sample of wine, asked if our table was sufficient, told us they would be with us shortly, came back and checked on us to see if we had been served yet. Very very attentive. Our waiter however, blackened our spirits. When arrived at our table he asked me have ever been there before No Well are you ready to order No I wanted to ask about the barrel wine, is it a sweet wine? That is our sample wine, it's not for purchase it's just to sample. Huh, At that point I could see this isn't going well. He didn't offer me to try it. More less made me feel like a homeless person begging for a drink. He again asked me if I was ready to order At this point I wanted to ask him if he was deaf? I've never been here before, just picked up menu, I would like to read my choices before I order and you could go get our drinks and some free bread, that you never offered any more of. I'm sorry but 5 people at one table I think we needed a little more bread. Anyway enough you got the picture. Highly doubtful we will make the drive to go back. Food was decent but small portions for the price. Oh but waiter did tell me, for whatever reason, in conversation that he had been there for about 8 years. I expected more from a seasoned waiter just saying. I would have ordered wine but he rushed me along withing a few minutes of arriving at my table, not wanting to give sample of wine, but knowing if it was sweet wine, etc. I ordered coffee and water in which my coffee never was refilled either. I guess in all fairness we did show up 30 minutes before closing time, but I was not a valued customer. I felt more like a homeless person begging for...

We had the pleasure of being served by Tabitha during our afternoon escape to Cooper's Hawk Winery, and I must say, she exceeded all expectations. From the moment we sat down, her warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home.

Tabitha's extensive knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was truly impressive. She effortlessly guided us through the menu, providing insightful recommendations that perfectly complemented our preferences. She steered us toward the bruschetta as our appetizer and recommended a delightful unoaked Chardonnay. She also suggested the pretzel-crusted pork chop for me and the vegan risotto for my daughter (home from college and thrilled by more than one vegan option to choose from - as this is not the norm at most nearby restaurants). Then Tabitha brought us the macchiato brownie for dessert. YUM!

Throughout our lunch, Tabitha's attentiveness was unparalleled. She anticipated our needs, ensuring that a glass was never empty and that each course was delivered promptly and flawlessly. Her friendly and engaging nature made the entire dining experience all the more enjoyable.

Not only was Tabitha an exceptional server, but she also went above and beyond, taking time to share stories about the winery and the history behind Cooper's Hawk, adding a personal touch to the overall experience.

We left Cooper's Hawk Winery feeling incredibly satisfied and grateful for the exceptional service. If you have a high bar for hospitality and professionalism, we cannot recommend Tabitha enough to anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience.

Thank you, Tabitha, for making our visit to Cooper's Hawk Winery an absolute delight. You are a true asset to the establishment, and we look forward to returning soon to enjoy your exceptional...

We went here for date night. We had an 8:30 reservation and wow it was bumping still! The dining room was kinda loud so that’s why the atmosphere was voted lower because it finally died down after a table of 6-8 left. This isn’t our first time at Cooper’s Hawk but this is our first time at this location. There wasn’t much space to get around tables and such. Mainly only one person at a time could walk by. The wait staff are pros because no one dropped a plate or anything. We decided to just do appetizers The cheese and candied bacon plate - it’s probably my favorite thing on the menu. The whipped feta with pistachios and honey/honeycomb tastes too good! I will be recreating this when I can! Drunken shrimp - I wouldn’t get this again. The bacon wrapped shrimp didn’t have any seasoning to it. The guac underneath was like baby food texture. I like a chunky guac. Over the Border Egg rolls - this was a hefty plate! The salad in the middle was a good touch to balance out the fried-ness of the egg rolls Tortilla soup - I’m always a fan of this soup. I don’t get tortilla soup a lot but even in the cold AC it warms ya up well Food hit the spot ultimately. I’d come back but I’d try to go during an off time where it’s less busy. I do gotta say our waitress was sooo nice! I’d like to have her again! One other thing, I’m plus size so I barely squeezed into the booth. If you are worried then request a table with chairs. It was super busy and even table was filled so I couldn’t switch it or we’d be eating dinner even later waiting for an open table.

Cooper's Hawk Winery Very nice Restaurant to go with family and friends or celebrate any special ocation, we went to celebrate our little first year of P-K yay! They also make him feel very special. We order appetizers ,drinks and amazing food. We order a Shrimp appetizers with cream guacamole with a soft flavor of lime involve in a crunchy bacon ..(Was fantastic) Drinks Bloody Mary signature of cooper's Hawk was very testy it came with a side of glass of crafted Ale beer and a skewer with cheddar cheese, hard salami, shrimp, pickle and olive. White Russian with a touch of caramel. Sangría with dried orange( very tasty.) Red sparkling wine (to have with the salmon) Crafter Ale beer cooper's Hawk "signature" they do not make beer BUT they do brewing they own wine. Then our entrée was Rib Risotto with truffles flavor and a very savory parmesan cheese. Salmon glasie with garlic butter puree. Jambalaya shrimp with flavory spicies. We try a cup of tortilla soup also delicious. I give 5 start bc the servers were very nice and food was amazing.

My sister and I had dinner at Cooper's hawk in Orland recently. We are wine club members and enjoy our visit each time. We both decided to try something new this visit. I ordered the bubbly flight and she ordered the white wine flight. I did not care too much for the almond sparkling and she didn't care for the Chardonnay. But that's what a flight is for, trying things out. She then ordered the crispy Asian sesame chicken salad and I chose the gnocchi with roasted butternut squash. Both were delicious and we were glad we tried something new. We topped it off with a Reese's ice cream cookie which was the perfect ending to our dinner. We left so full and got some of our wine bottles to go. The only thing I would LOVE is if they got their calamari appetizer back on the menu. No other appetizer compares to it and I miss it so much!! It has been gone since Covid started and I wish it never went away.
