McDonald's — Restaurant in Orland Township

I write reviews only when I receive great service and substandard. As a father of two children under two, any parent can understand when traveling alone with young ones that the car needs to keep moving or the kids start getting fussy. I completely understand that on Sunday after Black Friday that all establishments are busy and I didn’t mind waiting in one of two lines that just didn’t move as fast as the other. Maybe the associate is new and completely understand that it takes time to learn to efficient. After waiting for about 5-7 minutes when there was one one car ahead of me I order a Chicken McNugget Happy Meal for my son, the attendant informs me that they don’t serve Lunch until 11am, the current time was 10:53am. I politely asked if she could make an exception as it was only a few minutes and I am confident she could hear my crying child in the back as he has a disorder and only worse when he is hungry. After I asked if she could make that exception she pretended to no hear and when she did speak I could hear laughter that I only imagine was about them turning me away. If that was for me I would have parked my SUV in that lane for the 7 minutes and inform the cars behind me that they may want to use the other lane or wait if they too wanted lunch, but my child’s well-being means more then trying to prove a point to a team workers that make light of a fuzzy child and family. I really hope this was 1-off but I am multi unit manager and knows that attitude and behaviors steam from the top down. I get it, it's a McDonald's you can't expect master quality but here's the thing, when I say 2 plain chicken sandwiches 4 times in a row and make sure they say back to me then then I get 2 chicken sandwiches with mayonnaise and lettuce I have a problem with your business. I have been to pretty much every McDonald's in Frankfurt, Orland park, and Tinley Park and I can confidently say this is the worst of them all. McDonald's always has their place open till midnight...so how come after 930pm this McDonald's is never open and always hides in their drive through. Not to mention how they have a sign that says 2 lanes use either lane... Then they have traffic cones blocking that second lane from being used. Finally it just takes forever. 3/6 of the times I went here I waited an average of 28 minutes in the drive through, that's not gonna work for me. Workers reading this prolly thinking good we don't care if you don't want our business your just one person, that kinda mentality is what closes down businesses why do you think Panera bread left Orland and Tinley Park. Idk if it's just bad workers, bad management, or what but whatever it is it doesn't rly matter anymore cause I'm never coming here again I'm not mad over it I'm just writing this so you all know this is literally one of the worst McDonald's in...

First and last visit to this location.

I should have followed my gut and left the drive thru line when the wait exceeded ten minutes, but I had hoped that the increase in wait time would result in fresher food. No such luck.

While my order was correct the fries were lukewarm and not fresh or well seasoned and the burger (also lukewarm) was thrown together. The daily double bun was smashed and the burger had more mayo than anything other topping.

Further, the customer service was deplorable. The cashier did not acknowledge (greet) me accept to confirm my order. I attempted to make some friendly banter about the wait time and asked if they were busy or short staffed and the cashier just ignored me. He then did not offer me a receipt and seemed annoyed when I asked if the receipt was provided at the pay window or the pick up window.

Overall poor quality and too long a wait for food that wasn’t fresh. I don’t expect five star cuisine from a McDonald’s but I do expect quality commensurate to the increased prices. Will not return to this location in the future. If I had read the reviews prior I would have never visited...
