Better Than Sex - A Dessert Restaurant — Restaurant in Orlando

Ugh, WOW!! I have been so dazzled and impressed by my experience here! To begin with, I’ve been wanting to go here for almost two years since I first heard about it. With a name like “Better than Sex”, it’s one of those places you have to see for yourself. I chose to come here for my birthday and while I did add it in the comments of our reservation, I didn’t hope for too much (and was very happily surprised later!)

From the moment I arrived the staff was friendly and looked happy to be there. The dark, red, candle lit room just oozed naughty and nice energy. We arrived early so we sat in the back for just a few minutes waiting on for our table. To my surprise, they have a special private room in the back for us! Our waitress, Destanee, brought a great energy to the table and provided excellent recommendations and satisfactorily answered all of our questions. The service was quick despite being packed full and was exactly as pictured.

So the service - stellar. The atmosphere- lived up to our hopes and expectations. And the food you may ask?

Well while I consider myself a good cook, im not an expert and I am not a sweets person. This was more of an “experience” for me and while I expected the desserts to be good based on the descriptions, I was not expecting the absolute DEPTHS of deliciousness awaited me! We got the popcorn chocolate bark cheesecake and the morning after dark chocolate and Brie grilled sandwich with strawberries dipping sauce.

EVERYTHING worked together. This was not a dish where the chef throws things on to make it pretty. Each element played an absolutely incredible experience and each aspect of the meal was high quality. The saltiness of the popcorn and bitterness of the chocolate bark paired with the ooey-gooey-housemade-oh-so-sweet caramel sauce, all being carried to your mouth via the delicious cheesecake! The Brie and dark chocolate grilled cheese melted together and topped with powder sugar😍 the texture of the grilled sandwich was so delicious alone, and the strawberry dipping sauce (which I had unwittingly assumed would be too sweet and syrupy to enjoy) ended up being sweet and refreshing. We only tried two desserts bc it was just so delicious and filling. We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

And while I won’t go into the drink details, they were stellar. Warm chocolate covered rims and delicious creamy cocktails. Just get the drinks ❤️‍🔥

To top it off, they brought the desserts out with a simple “happy birthday” and a candle. It touched me especially bc unbeknownst to them, I had a very tough birthday so far. And the thoughtfulness of the staff, the happy feeling that the restaurant was just as delightful and enticing as the pictures and reviews said, the moment of feeling special and well-taken care of, and then to be blown so far away by the desserts? I would quickly and without hesitation recommend this restaurant to even the most prude members of the general population, so long as they had a sweet tooth...

My wife and I went in a party of 6 (our first time here), Tbh parking was an adventure due to the fact that it was a Saturday night and we had to make a 11pm reservation due to the size of the party, there was no street parking or parking garage even remotely close to the establishment. All that being said, we where blown away with this place! And the parking Fiasco was well worth it! After a beautiful afternoon out in Orlando with friends this was the perfect nightcap! We were completely satisfied with the experience and service we had at this establishment. Starting with the waiter Brandy (like the liquor) he was attentive and patient. He explained and answered every question each person had gracefully and eloquently, we were seated in the NookE 😸 (pun intended) apparently one of only two sections that seats a party of our size. The space was very romantic, candles lit each table and the music selections where perfect not too soft and not too loud. The best part? the deserts!!.... oh the deserts are to die for!!... I've attached a few photos. The presentation felt upscale and exclusive. I would put this place in my top five sit down desert spots to visit. The menu was very cleverly designed and the word play was definitely naughty 😉. This establishment (in my opinion) is 100% grown and sexy! not a place for kids. There are nude and provocative photos on every wall and the atmosphere definitely gives me "sexy time" vibes (all very tasteful tho). I would recommend this place to any couple that's looking to enjoy a private, sensual and all around seductive desert experience. We definitely will be ending date nights here from now on when in the Orlando...

My husband & I went here for my birthday. It was my first time and I always wanted to go. Once inside, it felt very mystical and private. The ambiance was nice and the decorations were well thought out. The food and drinks were tasty. I loved the entire concept. The problem I had was with our waiter. He treated this like a drive-by. Me and my husband were there for an hour and we saw him MAYBE twice. And that was because I had to flag him down. When we were seated, it took 15 to 20 minutes before he greeted us. Which, by the way, only happened when I started to ask around as to who our waiter was. I’m not sure if he just had a more important table to attend to or what caused him to be so inattentive and dismissive towards us, but it really upset me. Honestly, looking back, I should have told him if he can’t service us then he should get us another waiter. He walked past us constantly without saying anything, or even looking our way. And when he finally took our order, he did not explain anything nor was he welcoming. It felt like he was in a rush. I can’t remember his name but my husband, Weedguet, had a reservation on December 27th at 9pm(I believe). If it was not for the waiter it would be a 5 star review. We couldn’t order more drinks. He took so long we just wanted to leave. I’m not in the business of hunting people down to get what I want when I’m in a restaurant. I expect to sit down and for the service to come to me.
