The Lucky Lure — Restaurant in Orlando

Lucky Lure is an Orlando staple - and a place I love to frequent as someone who lives in the neighborhood and makes an adventure out of bopping around. The bartenders here are so lovely - Lee and Roger specifically. I noticed there were some negative reviews about them and if you’re currently reading this and find those reviews impacting your decision to visit, don’t. I’d take those with a grain of salt - if a seasoned bartender is refusing service to someone, it’s more often than not for a good reason, no? Sometimes you’ve just gotta let the trash take itself out.

My friends and I went to this place to see a local musician we knew who was performing there. I'm local and have lived near here my whole life, but have never visited before. It was actually pretty nice, up until a few hours in some of our friends arrived and the bartender Jarred started acting weird. He ended up throwing us out and telling the bar next door to also not serve us. He actually came up to us several times after that saying that we were super nice and respectful and our ID's looked good (which they are, we're all late 20s) but he just got a weird vibe. Love this neighborhood angler/surf influenced dive bar. Certain nights they have live music. Pool tables and popcorn machine are popular. There's another bar that shares the same outside area (same owners) that is more upscale that has a DJ some nights. Great view over Lake Ivanhoe for sunsets. The owners and staff are really nice. Go for tour birthday, job promotion or if you've done something kind to help the environment chances are you'll get a free shot. They have specials every night.
