I specifically wanted Greek fries. I had been to a restaurant a few miles away that had excellent Greek fries but I did not want to travel that far. So I looked up a restaurant that was nearby. I called and requested Greek fries with extra oregano to go. They told me my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I sat in the parking lot and went in when they should have been ready. I picked my order up and left to eat as I drove since I was in a hurry with 40 miles to drive in rush hour traffic. A few blocks away from the restaurant I began to eat the food. It was barely warm. I checked the top of the container to see if there were any beads of moisture so that I would know if the fries were ever hot once they were in that styrofoam container. There was no moisture. They were on foil with some areas of brown melted cheese. So I presume it had been in maybe a broiler oven at least briefly. This leads me to think the fries had been sitting around possibly under a light and were not freshly cooked and they presumed heating the cheese would also heat the fries enough. It did not. It probably made them more like twice heated fries which are not good. I would have returned them if I had the time or if I would have been in the area again soon. I wondered why I had to wait the 15 minutes if they were going to put fries in there that were previously cooked. Plus I had asked for extra oregano which I mentioned. I could barely see any oregano on them. Also the amount of feta cheese does not compare to the amount at Olea restaurant. In the future I will take the extra time to go where I would burn my tongue on the food if I didn't wait, rather than return here and have my tastebuds and my wallet...
Read moreCame here for dinner and they were not busy. It was 4:55 pm when we arrived, it took 17 minutes for someone to come out and take our drink order (we ordered our food at the same time). It then took our server another 8 minutes to bring out our drinks. We both ordered gyros plain with fries and fried mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. It took 40 minutes for our appetizer and once we received it, it took another 15 for our food.
The appetizer was good but very salty. It came out plated on some very, very wilted lettuce with an old looking black olive. The gyro’s were dry with barely any meat inside it. It was warm meat but a cold grilled pita (if it’s grilled how the heck does it come out cold?) and the fries were way over cooked and some were even burned and inedible.
The server never came over to check on us as she had a large table and seemed to be unable to handle her workload.
Once we were ready to leave we tried to flag our server down several times without any luck. We also told two other people we were in need of our check. The bus boy cleaned our table completely and we were still not acknowledged we wanted our check. After 20 minutes of waiting for our server to come over about our check we added up the total of everything we ordered added what we believed to be tax and left several dollars extra just in case.
I believe this experience to be once of our worst service experiences ever. Will never return and hope this situation is taken care of...
Read moreEDIT: The owner of the store called me back as soon as he could and was so understanding of my cravings and food aversions. He happily offered to deliver the correct order to my home and I really appreciate that. Accidents happen and he assured me it was just a miscommunication with the order being handed to me. my food was delivered hot and fresh and they definitely retained my business moving forward.
Eaten here once before in person and the food was delicious. Ordered take out today- very specifically ordered a beef/lamb gyro W fries and asked for the gyro to have only cheese and lettuce. i also ordered a greek salad w chicken. my boyfriend went to pick up the order and arrived about 15 before close. he got there and they asked his name and then the person said “oh it’s Andre’s” order- I’m assuming that’s the server. When i ordered i spoke w a woman not a man.. they handed him the order and he said he wanted to confirm it but everyone seemed to busy to stop as they were closing. When he got home i checked the order and not only is the gyro not plain (it has tomato tzatziki and onions) but it’s not beef it’s chicken. no fries but instead got potatoes.. I am pregnant and have an aversion to food and now i can’t even eat the meal because i hate what’s on it and the meats not right. Called to get a refund and was told I would get a call back but have yet to receive one (called at 9:55p) and now...
