What kinda circus are y'all running at this ice creamery?
I get in line to get delicious gelato for myself and my friend, and some mole person/goblin/early Cretaceous era creature began to harass the young woman working the register.
He wanted a refund due to the fact that he hadn't been given a Waffle cone. This troglodyte-man had been given a wafer cone instead. The young server tried to call her manager but to no avail. Thrice.
That's my understanding of the situation. He spent five minutes harping on the price difference of cones and wanted his money back.
The young woman working was struggling to communicate with this squealing piglet, presumably let loose by The Orlando Zoo. As the line for iced cream grew longer, the Frankenstein-esque man grew more belligerent. She kept explaining that she was new at Jeremiahs, just as I presume this man was new at interacting in society.
After offering this bizarre creation a dollar from my own wallet (I was ignored of course, I believe the monstrosity may have originated from the Blue Lagoon and may not have completely understood Earth tongue), the server doled out a Large cup of Vanilla Ice Cream with two wafer cones.
The witless, gormless worm struggled to comprehend this move and stammered out the words, "H-how do I eat this?"
The server replied, "With a spoon."
The creature grumbled and stumbled out of Jeremiahs Goldenrod, likely to submerge himself in his own misery and presumably his own fecal matter. Who's to say?
Human horribleness aside, some issues to point out to management.
Why was someone new left alone on the weekend? Why didn't the manager pick up their phone after 3 calls from the new hire? Why wasn't she trained to handle refunds, or barring the manager actually being there, why wasn't she trained on how to handle a refund when the manager is gone? Why are you barely staffing your business at 3:30 on a Sunday? There was a line before and after that pitiful peanut of a man began to bark at the server.
I don't expect answers, but I mean your server might deserve some.
Overall, the server did a great job trying to stay professional. She was doing her best and we tipped accordingly. She was friendly, hospitable and quick (when not dealing with the inane individual described above).
Please print this and let that awesome young server know she's appreciated by the community at large.
PS - To the Gen Z kid behind me in line that razzed that balding abomination with the words "Tell me you've never worked a job without telling me--", you give me hope that the next generation of Americans won't put up with the nonsense that entitled d-bags bring into restaurants...
Read moreUsually this location is good to me but this experience was bad. at 10:00pm-10:10pm on 9/9/2023, it’s late I get it. But was never greeted while looking at the menu even while being the only customer in store. The Lack of customer awareness was off putting. The menu board didn’t have all the flavors displayed even though available. I had to physically interject my way to the register and cut the employee conversation, if not it could have gone longer than any customer should have waited. The stench and aroma appeared to be of dried expire milk with dirty mop water from probably previous mess up. Lastly the employee that was going to take care of us switch placed with the another due to a bathroom emergency. This other employee was seen scratching his groin, while putting new trash bags in the trash bins… only to be the only employee to handle my order without washing his hands to handle my gelato order.
