First off this isn't four stars compared to every other restaurant in the world, hell not even compared to every other restaurant on the block. It's four stars for a McDonald's. You know McDonald's right. I mean odds are if you have access to Google you've eaten at a Mickey D's before so you know exactly what to expect; mediocre food at a decent price that's tastes just good enough that everyone's okay with it. That's what this place offers, pretty solid but totally average mcfood.
But it beats a lot of McDonald's for two reasons. First it has pretty decent customer service. The staff here is usually really friendly, fast and accurate. Honestly for a fast food joint in Orlando that's just plain stunning. They smile, they'll make small talk, and it's usually an all around pleasant interaction. Plus you get what you ordered, which is notable when you compare it to emost of the chains around here.
Second it has a play place. With temps being so high this is a God send for parents in the summer. I don't understand why so many Mac Shacks have ditched these, my kids love it. It's not the biggest or best play place. But it's decently big, and it has the touch screen games as well. My kids love it.
So why not five stars? Well it's a busy urban location. Which means peak times are packed and some of the fellow customers who wandering in here look like extras from Cops. Loud, rude and aggressive. Just thoroughly nasty people, sucks to have to explain to my kid why the crazy lady is screaming at the cashier for no reason. McDonald's can't do too much about this though, that's just city life.
But the crowds do bring in a mess. The couple times I used the bathroom it was clean enough. The lobby and seating areas get cluttered fast though, and you might find yourself needing to wipe down a table if you sit inside. To be fair I see staff trying to clean most of the time, but it is busy so it's gonna get a little messy.
Overall it's a pretty good McDonalds, especially considering the location and customer volume. Also why are you reading reviews on a McDonald's? Like this is not the kind of restaurant you read reviews about and plan a visit too. This is the kind of place you go to when you just don't care and want...
Read moreHonestly I love this location I come to this location 5x or more a week between breakfast and lunch normally I’ve not had any problems with the food or service but a few times when I’ve come for breakfast and normally I don’t give bad reviews because like I said I love this location But I feel like I must this time because they really have gone too far…. On 7/28 about 5:10am/5::20am we order two chicken biscuits and two hash browns the food was really really old, I mean the hash browns were literally falling apart and dripping grease and the biscuit was super hard and the chicken was old greasy and stringy from sitting so long… I take the food back in and the manager on duty could care less first no one was at the counter, no customers and no one was in the driver thru and the store was very dirty, but I stood at counter at least 5 min when she did approach it was with I don’t give a care approach so I put the food on the counter showed her how old it was (check the camera trust me you’ll see how old the food was and it will prove everything I’m saying) I then Asked her would you spend your money on some food this old and outdated she proceeded to tell me that it was the oil I told her I know the difference between old oil, fresh oil, fresh food and old food and this was not a oil problem this was a food freshness problem she proceeded to say well did you ask for fresh food ok I’m not sure when this has became policy but if you’ve went up on prices and your in the business of serving fresh food then why should I have to ask for fresh food? I think someone should rethink that policy so needless to say I will not be visiting this location for breakfast any more I feel I work extremely hard for the money I make and spend and if I can’t get simply fresh hash browns and chicken biscuit then I will start going somewhere else, and you should change your commercial’s to say we give fresh food when asked!!!! I will still be coming for lunch because they always give fresh food WITH OUT ASKING!!!!’ And their customer service is great the store is always clean and they greet you with a smile….. Totally disappointed with the Morning manager she really should know better!!!!! Once you make management you should be held to a higher standard...
Read moreAs a dedicated blogger hailing from Frisco, Texas, my journey led me to the heart of Florida, where I unexpectedly found myself in the midst of a hurricane. With a successful social media presence, my experiences are often shared with a wide audience. However, my recent visit to a local McDonald's, against the backdrop of the raging storm, left me with an unexpected tale to tell.
Hunger and the relentless rain drove me to seek refuge at the nearest McDonald's, hoping for a quick meal before finding shelter. Little did I know that my encounter with a young lady named Star would become the focal point of this narrative.
In the face of adversity, I turned to technology and placed an online order, desperately craving both sustenance and a respite from the storm. To my dismay, Star's response to my request for assistance was shockingly lacking in the basic principles of customer service. Despite having completed the online payment, my pleas for the ordered meal fell on deaf ears.
The situation revealed a startling disconnect between the availability of food and the unfortunate reality of not receiving it. As the rain poured outside and hunger gnawed at my stomach, I couldn't help but contemplate the broader implications of such an encounter. A simple meal request turned into a lesson about empathy, respect, and the shared human experience.
My intention in sharing this experience is not to cast a shadow but to illuminate the importance of even the smallest acts of kindness, particularly during challenging times. Sheltered under the roof of a fast-food establishment, I was reminded that food goes beyond nourishment—it symbolizes care, consideration, and a shared sense of community.
In the end, as the rain continued to fall and the winds howled, I couldn't help but hope that this narrative reaches both the establishment and Star. May it encourage introspection and serve as a reminder that every individual, no matter their role, can make a profound impact on someone else's day.
So, as the storm rages on, let this stand as a testament to the power of empathy and the hope for a world where even amidst the darkest clouds, kindness and...
