Nov 13 around 2-4:30 pm. I walked in with my son and immediately was hit with a stench. It smelled like I was at a pet store. There were 3 employees at the counter. One male was on his phone which seemed like a business call ( it was on speaker) the female was standing beside him (short colorful hair ) and the other male was on the computer. I walked around for a bit cuz I truly enjoyed the decent selection of things but Honestly I couldn’t take the smell anymore so I decided to just head to the counter to retrieve the order I placed for pick up. I walked up to the man on the computer and he did not even acknowledge me. No hello or how can I help you. He just stood staring at the computer. After a while, I walked over to the other side where the male on the phone and female were and signaled the female for help. Her attitude was as nasty as the smell in the store. She was rude and replied with smart remarks when I had a concern about my pick up purchase. She handed me my items with no bag and when I asked for one, she handed me one to do it myself. Before I left I advised her that the store smelled horrible and she blamed it on customers when there was no one else in the store. As I walked away the male that failed to acknowledge me started mumbling to her. Your employees lack of professionalism pushed me away from purchasing anything else. I won’t be returning to this location. Rude, uncomfortable and disrespectful. 1st horrible experience I’ve had...
Read moreThis 5 star review is for Collin. I went in to submit my sports cards to PSA to take advantage of the new program/partnership & my GameStop Pro benefits (my second attempt). The first attempt I went in to do this & trade in my PS4, only to find out that "they had not been trained on it", after asking the employee if he knew of a store I could go to that had been trained on it & him not being sure I had asked if he could reach out to a manager & find out for me. During the call the manager must've mentioned a training module they had to which his response was "yeah I did it, but ya know I'm hands on so that didn't help me at all". Fast forward to my visit during Collin's shift, he did inform me that he hasn't gone through the process yet BUT would take the time to learn & go through the process if I didn't mind waiting while he did so. Which i truly appreciated. Collin took initiative instead of sending me away, that's what makes great leaders & I hope he gets recognized for his commitment. With more employees like Collin GameStop will never go out of...
Read moreWent in to check on a price for a copy of Jedi survivor, was told it was 34.99 used I nicely said oh ok thank you I'll just head to target across the street and pick it up new for 29.99. Then the most nonsensical thing was said by the employee, "why would you buy it new for 29.99 when you can get it used with a warranty and guarantee it for a year. Fact check the game is 34.99+4.99 so 10 dollars more for a used game or 10 dollars less for a new game. I get it's your job to pitch pre owned I worked for GameStop for 15 years before I saw the light, but don't tell me in this economy I should pay more for used over new. Didn't even offer the new one to me to price match it, which I would've bought just straight. Went to used and made me feel like I didn't know what I was doing trying to save money. I'm sure nobody will read this based on the reason y'all got rid of NPS to control the reviews on your stores. Common sense...
