This was my party's first experience eating at a Vietnamese restaurant. For myself, I enjoyed my food since I ordered a nice warm bowl of delicious beef Pho. It was very flavorful and well seasoned! Generous portions of beef.
That said, the dishes after that were quite disappointing. Although it looked nice, the fried fish we had lacked any sort of seasoning in the breading. It also did not have the crisp we were expecting when we bit into it.
The biggest disappointment was the beef cube steak with fried potatoes. It was literally just a steak frites. It's labelled as a special on the menu and yet there isn't any special about it. They should have just called the fried potatoes french fries because that's what it literally was. The steak marinade was nothing special to us and the quantity that was given did not justify the cost of the dish.
Based off other reviews, I have a feeling we just ordered the wrong items on the menu. So please, if you are going to try this place out, look at other reviews and observe what dishes they ordered. What I can tell you from our experience is that that Pho is a MUST have. But that's it, really. Staff is really nice and...
Read moreOur family has been dining at Vinhs for decades since their 1st location on Colonial to settling in at the current location on Primrose. So many family and friends gatherings, âjust becauseâ meetups, and hangover meals spent at this establishment. Itâs our go-to spot.
The quality and quantity of the food is CONSISTENT. With the uptick in Vietnamese restaurants in the area, we canât help but want to try them all but nothing beats the history and consistency that Vinh delivers each and every time for us. We enjoy the rolls, Ca ri ga, pho, goi du du, hu tieu, and all the rice dishes.
Parking and seating is plenty, warm welcomes, quick service, ambience can be improved and updated, music is always enjoyable, calm and relaxing. Servers are knowledgeable, accommodating, and nice to talk with.
Itâs definitely not the best in Orlando or the worst but they are SIMPLE, FAMILIAR and will remain the OGs among all the Viet town restaurants in the area with patrons who have love and supported them over...
Read moreHave to admit. I thought I would never find a good Vietnamese phĂł here in central Florida. Tried many places around and in the area. Even in Lakeland, St. Petersburg and Tampa. Until today. Place in Tampa had the best phĂł. But the drive was long from where I am at. Let me say this. I been eating phĂł (extra large bowl - lol) my whole life. I came from NYC and have eaten at some of the best Vietnamese food restaurants. The phĂł here at Pho Vinh is the absolute closest to the ones up north. I have never had phĂł here in Florida that has all the different meats and even the tripe! some place would have one or two but but not the other. This place did. Broth was flavorful and aromatic. Hearty amount of meat and noodles. I used to drive an hour and half plus to get some good phĂł. Now. I can go here and itâs under an hour and it's the best I have eaten here in central florida. Side note. The atmosphere and design also reminds me of the Vietnamese restaurants back...
