I have been here plenty of times and have never had a bad experience. Love the food. We went in around 2pm. However, today the experience was not good at all. They're costumer service is horrible. When my mother was ordering her food (because of the glass) neither my mom or employee could hear each other. My mom asked a simple question "what type do you have?" The lady replied with only one answer "yuca", we asked "what else?", and she replied the same thing "yuca" (not answering our question). Therefore we asked "okay, but what are the other ones?" And then the other employee that was there as well started screaming and repeating to us exactly what the other lady had said "YUCA, YUCA, YUCA,YUCA!!!!" We were in shock. First of all, we heard you the first time. Second of all, we knew that, we wanted to know what where the other ones there. Third of all, we weren't screaming at them when they couldn't hear us, so there's no reason why they should be screaming at us. They were very rude, even the people innline in front of us felt very awkward about the situation. I went to the manager and told her about the situation and how her employees were very rude. The manager was very nice and sweet. She spoke to the employees and gave us a free pastry which was very sweet of her. Later, when we were leaving one of the lady called me over and told me "rewind the movie in your head because you got it wrong". Excuse me, that right there is rude lady. Then when we were leaving we could hear them talking making fun of us. And right before we were about to leave one of the rude ladies says to the costumer, "if a place treated you bad, would you come back?" And then started laughing. Here they're both acknowledging the fact that what they both did was wrong yet they don't care! Even after the manager had already spoken to them, and everything was fixed, they kept making everything worse. Well guess what, we'll listen to what you said and won't come back. I feel sorry for the manager, the fact that she has to manage such rude employees is so sad. Also, it's amazing how they waited for the manager to go to the back to start...
Read moreI really loved seeing all the French pastries! They had savory AND sweet pastries.
This shop was really bustling with LOTS of customers, many of whom seemed like regulars. There are 2 cash registers, so the lines got a bit long, sometimes, but the cashiers were very pleasant and also patient with new customers who didn't know the menu, like me.
I especially want to give kudos to the slightly older gentleman who seemed to be the owner, or at least in charge. He was really on top of his game and appeared to be tweaking the staff's customer service as they all worked like a well-oiled machine. I think this dedication to excellence and attention to detail may be at least part of what is making this shop such a popular place to go.
Things they offer--teas of all kinds (cold, hot) with toppings & add-ins (boba, etc.), many other drinks, sandwiches, Asian dishes, & of course, the pastries. Something for everyone!
I saw families with young children there, middle-aged patrons, college students, as well as senior citizens like myself. It was kind of like being inside a beehive. So much energy and positivity!
I got the iced, Vietnamese, salted caramel coffee (topped with sea foam with coffee jellies in the bottom). It was the first time I tasted anything in the States that was close to a marvelous coffee drink I had in Manila, Philippines, in 1991! Absolutely delicious!!!!
If you're anywhere near this lovely shop, you owe it to yourself to go. The surrounding area of Altamonte Springs is also a very beautiful drive with many shopping possibilities. If you're looking for a new boba tea experience, you MUST make a trip...
Read moreGreat place for Cuban coffee and authentic Puerto Rican Food This restaurant is located at the end of a strip of stores on the east side of Semoran blvd, just north of the Orlando airport. It is fairly easy to locate and get to from either the north or the south as it is located at a streetlight. Parking is limited and it is a popular place so patrons may find this a little challenging. You enter through the north door and exit through the south door. The counter is a large “L” shape with dessert display cases on one side, registers at the corner and the hot food and pick up on the other side. The 3 dessert display cases looked stocked full of delicious treats. The staff taking our order was very friendly and helpful. There is a counter against the window with about 10 high seats and 15 tables of 4 people each in the restaurant. We ordered café latte, 1 media noche, 1 cubano and 2 tostada y mantequilla (cuban toast) for about $26. The restaurant was full (every table taken and most seats at the counter taken and people ordering). The coffee was excellent and the sandwiches and toast were outstanding. The only drawbacks were the parking, the wait and the cleanliness. They were so busy there was litter on the floor and tables did not get bussed between people leaving and arriving. Overall, the staff was excellent, food was great and place was very nicely done. I would definitely recommend this place to hungry...
