Drove by the place a few weeks ago and I've been dying to check it out. I used to live across the street from the location, but moved to Winter Haven 3 years ago. I wish this place had existed when I was living there! So I finally got to go on 10/14/19. The first thing I noticed was the OUTSTANDING customer service. I was greeted by several employees, and all were super friendly. One employee who I believe was the manager was extremely cool. She gave me the full run down on the history of the place and more info on the BBQ process which I really appreciated. If you're reading this- you rock! I wish I had remember your name. I noticed the prices on the menu were surprisingly reasonable. Way cheaper than the usual Orlando BBQ prices. I got the Beef Brisket, + a side, and got the special "American's Heroes" cup, which is bigger and donates some proceeds to help veterans, which from reading up on, is a major cause of the owners. Honestly, It was the best BBQ Beef Brisket I have ever had. I ordered it "moist" with the other option being "lean". Super tasty, I can assure you. I was also a huge fan of the various BBQ sauces they have. All come with a write-up explaining exactly what style it is. "Mountain" was my personal favorite. So all in all, this is honestly my #1 BBQ place and I will be back. Great food, friendly staff, and a very impressive decor featuring NFL players, the U.S. Military, and other Patriotic themes. I can't recommend this place any higher! A++

Here we go! A new BBQ place in the Lee Vista area of Orlando. How does it hold up to the few rivals in the area? Let's see. First off let me start out by saying I love the theming of Mission BBQ. Veterans and service workers are appreciated; they even have a parking spot for veterans! The food is fantastic. Pulled pork is a dry rub, but they have a wide variety of sauces that can accommodate any pallet. The gator bite was Interestingly great, almost like a sweet and sour sauce but not quite. My wife's turkey was tender, well seasoned, but does have a light spice. Sides were also good. The potato salad is a mustard based sauce with onions and celery. Not my favorite type of potato salad but still good. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. They make sure you understand where everything is at and sauce explanation. We loved the toolbox for condiments and utensils. Overall, a great place to eat for the price. I would say a mid-range $$. Will definitely return as we live on bent pine :).

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. I love the military/police theme. We were unsure of what to get. Once we got to the register, our cashier Matthew told us what his favorites are we I decided to get brisket, chicken, macaroni and cheese, baked beans and it comes with cornbread. My partner got the brisket sandwich with (fresh cut) fries and baked beans. We were pleasantly surprised at the taste and we loved tasting all the bbq sauces they had out to try. After eating, a young girl came by (sorry I didn’t catch her name) and says since it was our first time we get a desert. Well, the desert was absolutions AMAZING and I would definitely have that again. Once we were about to leave, Whitney came by asking how our first visit was and thanking us for coming. I asked her shah desert the young girl brought by because it was so good; she says it was the no-bake cheesecake. Everyone was very friendly and I will be coming back sooner than later.

Ok so right up front—I’m not a fan of the wrapping-your-conservatism-in-a-flag brand of performative patriotism that this place exudes. It’s entirely possible to demonstrate respect for the US military and first responders without making people who’ve had experiences that give them a more complex set of feelings about those institutions uncomfortable. But at this point, we know what we’re getting into when we visit Mission BBQ, and I won’t knock stars off an otherwise excellent place because I chose to go there with eyes open.

This particular location is always top-notch. Service is friendly without being overbearing or feeling fake, and the employees genuinely appreciate customers who engage with them beyond the bare minimum—something refreshing given the location by the airport, which must attract a high percentage of newly arrived tourists.

I have never had a bad meal from this location, either, which is outstanding consistency for a fast casual establishment. I particularly enjoy the mac and cheese and cajun corn (when it’s available).

My one gripe—and this is not with the establishment—is that police officers who visit here park in the spots designated for take-out parking, making that option less than ideal for those of us who don’t have a badge. It’s a petty display of being above the rules that I think the vibes of this place make some officers feel entitled to show, and as someone who’s already a bit uncomfortable around police (I’m a government lawyer, for context, so unfortunately I see too much of the less savory side of policing) this behavior makes the hair stand up on my neck. For that reason, I almost always take my food to go, but don’t use the...

Amazing staff that was friendlier and more engaging than the theme parks! As soon as We walked it it was like we were being greeted into a friends living room. Haley, the resident brisket master, walked us through the menu step by step, guiding our decisions with her tantalizing descriptions and vast knowledge. I went with the Brisket and Hot links. Wow! Brisket melted in my mouth and the hotlinks had this perfect skin that just SNAPPED with every bite. Emani (dunno if I spelled that right!) came over with a first timer tray ( a little bite of every side) and walked us through all the sides and deserts. the beans were scintillating, the creamed corn a delight to the senses, and the baked cheesy potatoes were overwhelmingly delicious. Just when I thought I couldnt have a more pleasurable experience, I sampled the bread pudding, a mouthful of sweetness and pure ecstasy. Though; I must confess; nothing could compare the perfection that was the brisket. Sampling it with their impressive array of diverse sauces was a once in a lifetime experience that hope to repeat time and time again. (the kiss of kc original and smokey mountains will be on the tip of my tongue for months.)

A wonderful dining experience, made perfect by a knowledgeable and friendly staff who cared deeply for the mission of...
