Exceptional Service and Speed at Planet Smoothie – Shoutout to the Manager!

I recently visited the Planet Smoothie location by Melania, and as soon as I walked in, I noticed a long line. I debated whether to stay, thinking it would take a while to get my drink—but I’m so glad I did.

What immediately caught my attention was a woman behind the counter moving with incredible speed and focus, preparing drinks and managing the team like a true pro. It was the fastest and most efficient service I’ve seen at any smoothie shop. Her energy was unmatched, and she never missed a beat.

At one point, I mentioned how impressed I was to the team member at the register, and she responded, “Oh yeah, she’s the manager!”—and it made perfect sense. Both team members were warmly greeting everyone who walked in, creating a positive and welcoming environment while keeping up with a high volume of orders.

There were about 15 people ahead of me, yet my wait was less than 10 minutes. The smoothie I ordered was absolutely delicious, and watching the manager work so quickly and confidently—while remembering so many recipes—was truly inspiring.

Edit for Update: I recently went back to see if the change in management helped. The remodel is very bright and fresh and the quality of my smoothie was excellent. The ingredients tasted fresh even at 15:00. And what’s even better is that the prices are still the same as before, which was a concern of mine. I ordered my smoothie through the app and it was still ready within 5 minutes. The staff were a little.. stern? But I don’t expect anyone to be happy 24/7 and if it’s anger that makes my smoothie better than so be it. Haha!

I’m happy to say I’d come back to this location again . I changed my stars to 5/5 instead of 1/5.

Old review: I loved going here because it was convenient, the only place that could make a propper Java the Nut, and the staff were almost always friendly except a few that didn’t last long but now I see why. This location made the employees work almost a week without proper AC and failing coolers (my smoothies tasted off) had a chest cooler in the front lobby for two weeks which you could see into and it didn’t look clean, and did very poorly with how they treaters their staff from what I had learned by talking to the employees before the...

Employee name Christian has a very under handed demeanor something about his energy just isn’t right! He intentionally does stuff (like how you threw out the remainder of my smoothie, because you knew I was going to ask for it) and he acts like the $1.00 coupons are not legit. When it clearly states $1.00 off and it’s link right to the planet smoothie site. He honored the coupon before but today he had amnesia. All the rest of the staff that I have encounter at this location are very kind and friendly. I never have an issue and they give off great vibes. Now remind you I am a repeat customer 7 days a week. Wish I knew which days he actually works so I can avoid going to this location on those days.
