Food - 4 star. Alexis the server - 5 star Our first time visiting this place. At first pulling up it was dark, I wasn't sure we were at the right address. Then I saw the picnic tables outside. Not sure if the lights were off or they do not have outdoor lighting, Light would be a good addition. Walking past the picnic table was kinda sketch, seems to be a place for locals and their dogs to hang out..alot! We opted to park on street (which is a one way street) after seeing the back parking lot, which was also dark. There is also a back door that a lot of people use to enter. When we walked in we were I noticed that there was ALOT of graffiti everywhere, on the walls, on the chairs, just everywhere. We were greeted by a young lady, we told her we need a table for 9 never saw her again. A man which I assume was the manager, came and my husband helped him put table together. We ordered the $5 - 20 ounce margaritas with light mixer. They were worth the $5, not sure how they did the light mixer, more water, I don't know, oh well. I just don't like it. As our other guest started arriving we noticed we needed more seating. They were very quick to arrange it. Then we got our server - Alexis. Alexis seemed to be holding the place together. She was the only server on the floor and took care of all the tables with the help of the manager guy. We did not wait for drinks, napkins, silverware, nothing she was very much with it. I give her a 5 star. She even split the faitas orders in the back. When it came out i had to keep asking was it a whole order split, because it seemed like alot if it had not been. So one order of faitas is plenty to share, which several people at our table did. The jalapeno poppers were big and tasty. The salsa could stand to have the recipe redone. Chips were greasy and thin. Food was good and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. The bar was busier then the restaurant, which seemed to be a popular hang out. Plenty of big...
Read moreHad a very different experience than other reviews. Visited on a Sunday, no host, no wait staff. Bartender was very personable, but service was very very slow. Margaritas and blood mary were not very good, but weren't terrible. Drinks took about 15-20 mins from when we sat down. Food took over half hour. There was maybe 10 customers in the whole place. Next to where we sat was a picture of George Thurgood with some other fellas, then notice those other fellas were sitting at the table behind us, so we assumed they were the owners. During our 30 minute plus wait for food, we asked for more chips and one of the fellas shouts '$20!' We all laughed. He then limps over with a new basket...containing one chip!lol We, at first found him funny, and personable. He then lingered at our table telling us stories, but slurring his words, and losing his place. We quickly realized after some foul language infront our wives and some unwanted touching that he wasn't limping, but was very intoxicated. We did our best to be nice as he was clearly the owner and we were in his house, but he literally talked to us throughout our entire meal talking about how my mother-in-law should just have fun in life and go to the beach topless as he put his arm around my father-in-law who was offended, trying to eat, not to mention there is a international pandemic of a very contagious virus going around.lol He ordered another round of drinks for us...on our tab...then took our dishes to the back as we very quickly tried to pay our check and leave...which took about 25 minutes to get our bill, immediately handed our cards, and to get them back whilst sitting 4ft from the register. This place was cool and the food was good, I will be back for another go, and hopefully have a better experience like these...
Read moreAaaah, I understand the concept of preserving antique buildings for the next generation to see, but atleast make the insides look good. I'm not sure of the theme exactly but every chair and table is different. Different old office chairs, old tables. I mean "OLD" as in "old and neglected " not as in "preserved and historical". The Service is decent and friendly though, i gave the waitress $8 for the 45mins I spent there.
-The FOOD (get ready):
This is my first time eating at a taco restaurant that served food that tasted like Canned food and Veggies. Im talking dollar tree brand canned food. I know you can make canned food taste pretty good when you add heat and seasonings in the food but........yea, This restaurant definitely forgot to add the Seasonings.....ON Everything! đ¤˘. The Meat was also under-cooked. Pink on ground beef = no no no in the toilet bowl.
Chips and salsa....chips ok, salsa tasted like it was made with old squishy tomatoes in my opinion. That salsa lacked of all flavors that it should have had. All I tasted was diluted squishy tomatoes and a hint of green onion.
The Pros(yay!):
The best part about the food was the Arnold Palmer........aka (Sweet tea and lemonade). It was pretty good, I even got 2 of dems đ.
Conclusion
I don't think I'll come back here till they atleast throw some Sazon in them beans maaaaaaan dang, where da flavor Flav at!?
Two...
