While I normally do not review for fast food places such as these, typically Papa’s provides a consistent food experience, so you always know what to expect. I realize if I wanted a 5 star culinary experience there are numerous other restaurants in town. After all these years they used to be our go to for those long cold days where the last thing I want to do is make dinner. Tonight is sad and disappointing even for them. I decided to splurge the $11.99 and try the new boneless chicken wing. Because we had not had it before I also ordered chicken tenders. With those and the 2 large pizza deal and a salad and a sandwich the bill was not small ( add delivery and tip) what we got was absurd at best. I do know in the past 20 years or more when I have called with a complaint no one on the other side seemed as though they would be losing sleep over my dissatisfaction. So at this point, as I stated in the beginning, I continue to order infrequently knowing it will be mediocre at best. So on to my review on the new boneless wings. Each “wing” ( niblet is a better description) is roughly the size of a dollar coin. (Essentially popcorn chicken) Perhaps someone felt guilty about the 8 bits they charged me $11.99 plus tax, fees, delivery as they generously slipped me a bonus fry (singular so not enough to share with the family) Feeling irritated at this blatant robbery, I felt thankful I ordered the back up tenders only to open that and yet again realize that 1) I had paid almost $30 (cost, tax, delivery fee and tip) for roughly 1 chicken breast worth of chicken. 2) Even worse, as the parent I was gonna have to give the nibs up to the kids, so there was that. Thank goodness for the lack luster pizza. Well, we live and learn. Honestly, due to lack of pizza delivery options it would be a lie if I said we’d never be back. But if you’re hungry and want to eat after working all day to earn the money to buy food, don’t get the bits. Photos are website and actual. Delivery driver was from door dash. He was fast and very friendly and took obvious pride in his job. It was bitterly cold and he still...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I ordered take out tonight, we got two pasta dinners and wings. When we picked it up he read us back the correct order but when we got home we had two chicken broccoli alfredos instead of one and no chicken parm. I called because I wanted a refund or a free next pasta entree because we found it really annoying that he even repeated to us the correct order and still gave us the incorrect thing. I got put on with the manager, not sure his name because he never told me, who was very rude and didn’t want to listen to a thing I had to say. He told me that they had order as two of the same entrees which is why they made two of the same which makes no sense with why when I picked up my order the person repeated to me the correct order. He did say that he would refund me for one entree but would not let me speak or explain anything, did not care that he was being very rude, and hung up on me. He has none of the skills required to hold a manger position, at all. Will never ever go back unless it is to talk about...
Read moreI've ordered from this Papa Gino's a few times. The first time I ordered everything went well. Second time, I had sent someone to pick up my order and whoever I talked to on the phone never put it through. A few times after that I ordered delivery. Each time my order came at least an hour and 45 minutes after the order is placed, long after the estimated delivery time. I chalked it up to unexpected traffic and number of orders over the summer, but tourist season is over. Once when I called they told me the delivery person had a lot of stops to go to that trip and I should expect my food soon. He must've had a lot of stops because my food was cold. I was really hoping now that summer is over my experience would be different. Why did my food come an hour late on a Monday afternoon? I worked in a pizza place i know when busy times are. Looking at the comments, I'm not the only person with...
