Wendy's — Restaurant in Ormond Beach

Drive through order, Tuesday, around 4 pm. Order: Classic Chicken with onion ring sandwich ( pitcure of sandwich at drive through), Hamburger, large Fries. Cost: $12.85

Experience at drive through... Gave order. Then had to state 3 times Classic Chicken because woman kept asking Classic or Spicy Cicken.

At window... I asked for ketchup and salt. Woman gave a face as it was an inconvenience. She told the guy standing by her to give her salt and ketchup. When he went to hand them her in a irritated voice she said; "Too much, only two each!" The woman went to hand them to me and I asked for more since I bought a large order of fries. I could tell that made her mad by the look on her face and her tone when she turned to the guy next to her and said one more of each. She handed to me and I left.

Home... After a long day at work, I was ready to relax and have something to eat. Pulled out the Wendy's bag a large brownish colored cold fries, and two wrapped cold feeling sandwiches. I sat my husband Hamburger on the side for him and put some fries and my Classic Chicken sandwich on a plate with ketchup and salt. My first bite I realized the Classic Chicken was not Classic. I opened it up and look. I found one tiny hard lettuce ( hard from being part of the cord of lettuce), an eighth inch mushy tomatoe, a few sprinkles of imatation onion bits with no crunch nor any real onion anywhere on sandwich, and lots of creamy sauce which made the bun soggy. This sandwich was nothing like picture at drive through. The Chicken sandwich was so spicy I could not eat it. I tried the fries and it tasted like it was fried in old grease than sat in a window for such a period of time it was uneditable. Now, my husband hamburger. What a joke! Where's the beef? Not at Wendy's! He opened it because all he saw was bun. The Hamburger was smaller than bun, square flat cut. It was so flat that it looked like it was rolled out with a rolling pin and then cut with a square cutter. On top of hamburger there was one squirt of ketchup, two pickles, and a thin fourth inch slice onion piece. He said it was cold, dry, and the beef was a joke.

Final thoughts... I guess Wendy's on Granada does not want our business so we will go elsewhere where they serve food like the quality they advertise. Not misleading photos and horrible tasting food, and giving wrong food to paying guests. I understand mistake happens but when asked 3 times and repeated back to worker 3 times Classic then it should not be spicy.

So, after throwing out uneditable food we were served for dinner, I cooked at home. I cannot recommend Wendy's on Granada since they charged and served us uneditable food. If you do try it, please open and inspect your food before leaving there to make sure it is editable and to your satisfactory. I personally know of many other fast foods on Granada and we will go to them instead...

Horrible experience witnessing employee at front counter verbally abuse elderly hearing- challenged customer who simply questioned the sandwich on his receipt. Her first response was to slam her fist on the counter in front of him and snap at him that he could speak to her manager since he was Mr. Pleasant to her. She then proceeded to verbally taunt him two more times at front counter calling him Mr. Pleasant while he was waiting for his sandwich and a response to his question. This elderly man never once responded to her abusive behavior. Once we were all over at the soda station, some man who appeared to be acting as manager came over to the elderly customer, apologized for the cashier's mistake and advised that his order had been corrected. At this time, I stopped the manager describing to him the cashier's verbal abuse and threatening behavior towards the elderly customer adding that if she worked for me in any capacity, she would be unemployed as a result if what I had just witnessed. He quickly said ok and something else and walked away. When I walked up to the counter to get my order a few minutes later, the cashier angrily slammed my sandwich down in the tray deliberately pushing her thumb into my sandwich leaving her thumb print on it all while glaring at me as a result of her manager telling her what I had said to him. She then proceeded to stand behind the counter telling another staff member what I had told the manager plus additional comments all while glaring at me while I ate. I am a local and periodically eat inside at this establishment and have never encountered any employee here who was anything other than professional and welcoming. I apologized to the elderly man and told him I had reported what I had witnessed to the manager. His response to me was that he had never seen...

So I usually don’t complain about food, but let me just complain about my experience today… Went to the Wendy’s on Granada going towards beachside and it was a hot mess experience.  I highly suggest you do not go there. They served bad food..  out of date by almost a month.  first I ordered hunbys food with no mayonnaise but they put mayonnaise on his burger fine we can wipe that off then I tried ordering a Apple pecan chicken salad to which they said they are all out of so I ended up getting a taco salad instead cause I had 🌶️ chili .. well  you can see from my bowl they threw and maybe a handful of lettuce a little bit of cheese and legit gave me tomato skins not even a tomato slice 🍅🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️  when I got back to store I crunched up rhe chips and put them in my salad .  within the first bite, I can taste that something was off then I checked the date on the chips and they were expired by almost a month🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️  my baked potato did not come with sour cream or butter but also they served me a bad potato I didn’t take a picture🤦‍♀️.  it was too grossed out I threw it away.. I tried contacting the store manager and calling their phone multiple times, and nobody answered . I understand people are shortstaffed. I understand people are overworked, but this is Absolutely. Unacceptable.  especially since I’m more prone to get infections and sick with my health conditions I can’t be eating bad food..  I did contact corporate since nobody answered the phone I’m supposed to receive a call from district manager.let’s see if that happens Beware When going there  Both hubby and I have been in and out of the bathroom a couple of times since eating … We will...
