I honestly dont know why some of these places are empty during lunch hour... Foster Freeze has been a staple in Butte County for years. Granted the last time I actually went to one I was in my single digits... Anyways, let's talk atmosphere. It was dead in lobby and drive through. However, the decor is definitely throw back and all pleather. Still very inviting and kitchen is bustling. Prices are actually fair market for the quality of product they serve. I ordered a Big Boss burger as suggested by the cashier. Also, got some staple things from when I was young for nostalgia but also to test for quality on simple items. My order: 1 Big Boss Burger meal with a medium Peanutbutter Shake, 1 hotdog, and 1 grilled cheese. Thoroughly enjoyed the burger. Was cooked to perfection, as we're the fries. The shake was the big surprise of the meal. Most "fast food" places dont offer too many options for shakes but there's plenty of options here and I loved my Peanut butter shake. The Hotdog was great but not perfect. I figured for the price id get something similar to a Big Bite from 7/11 but no. Also, the grilled cheese was under par. I am aware it's not supposed to be gourmet but I have always been very honest and thorough for all of you who read my reviews. All in all nothing remotely bad about the experience but things I wish were better. Thank you Foster Freeze for the experience and would definitely recommend solid...
Read moreGreat shakes & soft serve ice cream cones! I've recently discovered that Foster's Freeze is like the last place in town that will actually make a MALT. None of the other fast food joints carry malt powder any longer, which is so disappointing!
Not too big on their taquitos; kinda greasy (huge understatement lol) and that's about all I can really say about that one. Fries were crisp outside and hot & flavorful inside. Enjoyable! Recently tried the chicken wraps & found them to be really good. Chicken was hot, crispy & tender while the lettuce n tomato was cold n crisp and the sauce, zesty.
I can tell u that if u are lucky enough to pull thru the drive thru when no cars are in line, be very thankful bcuz on the other hand, when there is even just a two car line ahead of u, the wait time can be tremendous!
With that being said, I love this place. As a LONG time patron of the Fosters Freeze franchise (45+ years), I can recall the excitement as a kid when we'd be on our way to gramma's house in Quincy and would stop either at the Oroville or Marysville Fosters for lunch or maybe just a soft-serve cone... ❤ Good...
Read moreThis is now a terrible place they do not even care how bad they messed up our order I called to tell them they messed it up and this is still after we had to wait and we looked in bag and seen they had forgotten things we waited extra long to get the missing items as well as having to pay again for 1 item we were supposed to get in the meal deal but didn't complain and paid extra just to keep it civil then opon getting Home the items were incorrect I call and nicely tell the female manager they messed the order up again I as well said we didn't want anything replaced we will just live with the bad service and told her the order number so she could take a look and know what went wrong she didn't want to know didn't care at all even when I said I guess. I will tell owners she was none responsive and I then say I guess a review will get the owners attention she says OK thanks by. Wow!is all that comes to my mind. Speechless don't waist your time or money in a place that can care less about the mistakes and customer service.GOOD LUCK FOSTER FREEZE IN THIS SMALL TOWN I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW...
