I brought a small group of disabled clients in for a meal and had a mostly great experience. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The owner stood out for his kindness, patience, and professionalism. He checked in, made sure we were comfortable, and created a welcoming atmosphere for all of us. The restaurant is also handicap accessible, which made a big difference for our group. That kind of thoughtfulness really matters.
Unfortunately, one server made some really inappropriate comments in Spanish—clearly assuming we couldn’t understand—saying she couldn’t imagine dealing with people like my clients, and remarking that there was “no tip,” even though we tipped digitally. She also complained about the “mess” we left, even though it was a perfectly normal level of cleanup for a table of five. That kind of attitude was hurtful and uncalled for. As a DSP (Direct Support Professional), I expect a basic level of respect when I bring my clients into any public space.
That said, I want to give full credit to the owner and kitchen staff for making most of our visit truly enjoyable. I hope that server learns from the leadership example being set, because the rest of the team showed what real hospitality looks like.
All in all? We had a good time and would love to enjoy a meal together...
Read moreI've been here once before and it was a very nice experience. But this last time made me think twice about coming back. As I know it's hot outside so this would affect indoors as well. Either their air conditioner wasn't working or they just didn't have one. There seem to be some sort of swamp cooler by the door which didn't really help at all. My party of eight was dripping sweat while we waited and ate our food. From what I could see there was only two waiters. We had a female waitress who I think was doing the best she could. She seemed to get the order wrong as we ordered tacos a la carte but she brought it in a meal. We didn't say anything we just ate it and paid the higher price. We had asked on multiple occasions for a refill on the chips. It's like she deliberately ignored it. She brought everything else but continued to not bring the chips then we would ask again again deliberately ignoring the fact that we've asked. Not sure what the issue was. She didn't explain there was an extra charge. It's like she just deliberately ignored it. Hope they get the heat under control because it was quite uncomfortable eating warm food while...
Read moreAmazing food, good service, comfortable and casual atmosphere. Highly recommend the Michoacanas enchiladas! The chips and salsa are delicious, and the refried beans are absolutely perfect. My husband and I agree it's our new favorite Mexican food restaurant.
Update 9/2/22: We ordered same entrees to see if quality remained the same. Tonight's dinner didn't live up to the first review. Too heavy on the onions in enchiladas, very little meat in husband's tacos. Overly generous portions of rice and beans to compensate for lack of meat? Child's meal for our grandson WAS okay and allowed for French fries instead of rice and beans with his taco. The child's chicken taco was really good. Servers were again good, and the margarita a lovely treat on a hot day. I can't advise to go out not go for a meal here, I can only say that literally based on our experience, you've a...
