A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Oshkosh

Went @ 11:50 am on a Wednesday and surprisingly not busy. Decided to do the drive up ordering since it was only for root beer no food. So we ordered (2) half gallon with mug online @ approximately $20 total.

After waiting about 25 minutes the car hop tried giving us a bag of food. We explained our order and he left. Never came back to us. So I go inside and tell the employee situation and that we're now @ 30+ minutes waiting for just root beer! At this point we've already verified that the money came out of our bank account already. She said they'd been having problems with orders not coming through. She apologized and sent us back outside to wait.

Car hop finally comes out with the root beer but no glass mugs. We specifically ordered the mugs which cost an extra $5/each. So we again explain our order but he insists this is our order and walks away.

We go back inside wait in line AGAIN. Employee asks if we ordered the 50/50? I again explain to her that we ordered (2) half gallons with mug for $10/each. I politely said, "We only got the root beer no mugs and I'm pretty sure that a gallon of root beer doesn't cost $20!" She still looks confused and muttered something as she walked away.

She ended up giving us the mugs eventually. Total wait time was approximately 42 minutes from order to fulfillment. Thankfully we weren't here during work lunch on limited time.

Next time I would suggest ANYWHERE ELSE! On a side note, the root...

The food came out hot, so plus points for that.

Unfortunately, that's where the pluses end. We were there at around 830pm last night. There were a bunch of kids working, with apparently no manager on duty. There were kids with no uniforms on walking in and out of the kitchen, refilling drink cups. I have no idea if they actually work there, or were just visiting their friends, who do. Either way, I don't know why this would be allowed.

The workers were hanging out with their friends at a couple of the tables, while one or two people did all the work. I don't know any of their names, but clearly this is not a functioning team.

The food was just not good. It was hot, but none of us finished any of what we ordered, because the quality was so low. If you're paying $15 for a five piece chicken tender meal, it should be top quality. This was top quality price, for a low quality meal.

As one person in our party said, "this place was a total bust."

This place desperately needs to hire a manager to straighten...

Came on my lunch break, was already disappointed by the 15+ minute wait from only one car in front of me. My order was ready as soon as I got to the window, and I drove back to work where I opened the bag to see neither of the two sauces I asked for were there. I tried eating my tenders without sauce but they were very very dry. Thinking I’d go back after work and finish my tenders then WITH sauce, I didn’t finish my meal and planned to get there before the listed closing time: 10 pm. I got there at 9:20 pm, but they were closed. Again, online it said they close at 10 pm, which had been updated only a week ago. The person who told me they were closed through the speaker was rude as well. Obviously you aren’t “addressing” complaints to your team as you claim in comment responses, because seemingly everyone has bad experiences here. Highly disappointed and would recommend getting takeout from anywhere...
