i have been there a few times since my last review and while it’s good, i usually go to IHOP now. They just have way more variety not they are bad in any way HOWEVER my boyfriend wanted to go to Perkins so that’s where we went- we had a server named Adeliah (I hope I spelled it right) and she was absolutely fantastic. Recommended all kinds of stuff that I wouldn’t have thought of and her personality and attitude was electric. They need to take take pay attention to her!!!!! I used to be a waitress for seven years and she is one of the best waitresses that I’ve ever run across in my life. She’s nice she’s welcoming. She is bubbly she makes you feel like you are the only ones there and the only ones that she is serving, even though it was packed so cut to her I will come back just to see her again!!!! Thank you for being so kind!
went there for the first time this last Saturday to meet up with my uncle whom I had not seen for over 20 years, plus my aunt and my father. We had an emotional reunion and we stayed for about 2 hours reminiscing. Never did we get a mean look for staying too long or for getting a little excited (loud). They were fantastic and accommodating. IHOP is not the only family...
Read moreUnprepared staff and management. I ordered the blueberry & banana pancake breakfast. They were out of bananas but failed to notify me of this until they presented the plate to me. They followed up by saying the manager just went out to get bananas though, do you want to wait? What?!! Really?!! You want me to let this food get cold while waiting? Why didn't you tell me this when I ordered and/or waited to prepare the food for 5 minutes while the manager went to the grocery store? What the h%^^?!
Waitress forgot my compatriot's soup too. She never came back to check on us, just to give us the check. I locked eyesight with her and nodded for her to come over but she never did, instead ignoring me and moving on to 3 other tables at which point it was time to leave -- no dessert after all.
The space/ambiance was eh, ok -- Denny's-esque or Baker's Square-like. The food was only ok too. Hadn't been to a Perkins before, not that I could remember at least, however I won't be returning to this or any Perkins in the future. Instead I'll stick with IHOP or search for local diners. Overall, this place probably isn't too bad on average but failed to execute a decent level of service and food quality...
Read more11/18/12. While the service from our waitress was excellent, the attitude of the hostess was less than stellar. As for the food, here's a brief commentary regarding each of our three dinners my two daughters and I ordered. Order 1 (mine) incredibly over-fried fish, soggy onion rings, pretty good clams and fries; the salad was very good. Daughter #1's order: the chicken was fair, the swiss/mushroom topping tasted like moldy cheese, the vegetable medley was sent back because the carrots were dessicated and the remaining vegetables appeared freezer-burned with excessive butter-(?) sauce to cover. What came back was more of the same. Her (instant) rice was dry. She, too, like my clams. Daughter #2's order was actually pretty good, except for the (instant) potato's which where runny. Robert Irvine would've exclaimed, "you've GOT to be KIDDING!!". Needless to say, we'll not be returning - EVER! Now, the Perkins near Sanibel, FL......THAT's and EXCELLENT PERKINS!! Would recommend to pass this one by and hit The Tilted Kilt next...
