A few days ago my water bottle opened up in my bag, which had my laptop in it. I brought it here within the first 24 hours of this happening is it caused some water damage. The lady that helped me said that this was an easy fix and that they are able to repair my screen. She told me it would take 2 to 3 days to fix as they are a little backed up right now. She told me they would call with any updates. She actually told me they would call me so many times that she hopes that I wouldn’t get annoyed with the amount of updates they were going to provide. She then told me my total and I asked if she wanted me to pay that now or later when I come and pick up my device. She insisted that I paid the full amount right away. I paid it, signed the receipt and never got my own copy. I NEVER got a single phone call from them. On day three I called and asked for an update. A guy named Travis answered the phone and was completely rude to begin with. He asked me the basic information such as my name and the telephone number that the device is under. After I provided that information he told me that they ran a dye test and put my computer in a heat box to help draw out all of that water. I was very confused as I told him that the lady that I spoke with on the first day told me that they were able to repair my screen and it would be an easy fix. He then repeated the tests that they did. I then again repeated that I paid for a repair. He then told me that that’s not possible and that I am lying as they do not make people pay the full amount upfront. I told him again that I paid the full amount as I was asked to. Travis stated that the girl that helped me is new and didn’t know what she was talking about. He also commented that I spilled water on my laptop and should have known that there was a possibility of it not getting fixed. I then stated again that I was super confused on why I paid to get it repaired if that’s not what they did. He then stated that I have to be lying about everything that went down that first day and how he was going to check the cameras. (Which I hope he saw that I was fully telling the truth). He then asked ā€œso are you going to pay $600 to repair the screen or come get itā€. I told him I would be there some time today to come and pick it up. After about 10 minutes, Travis called and said that the service they did cost around $59.99 and that I would be getting refunded the additional amount that I paid. When I arrived, the guy that helped me seemed to be helpful, but unfortunately that took a turn. He gave me my laptop said that the water damage on the screen did go down. It indeed did go down. Said everything looked good and I was all set to go. After I got to my car, I noticed that a back screw was missing. I turned around and went back inside and stated that a screw was missing. (It had all the screws when I brought it in.) He told me that they couldn’t get a screw back in as there is corrosion. But just 2 minutes ago my laptop was fine (minus the water damage on the screen). After further inspection of my laptop, I noticed that there are two dents on the back from what seems to be a tool they used to pry off the back. Cosmetically, my laptop was in decent condition with minimal scratches. This was my last straw. Overall, I am extremely disappointed. I have many years of customer service experience and I was taught that it is your job to make sure people are happy and satisfied with the service they are getting. Unfortunately I have to give this place 1 star but if there was a chance for zero, they would be getting that.

brought in an ipad that ever since bought was in an otter box. came in to fix the charging port because it would only charge if you play with. so the first time around i had no complaints but to the fact that they fixed the charging port but it wasnt charging anymore. so the guy i spoke to said it needed to be sent in to fix the ic charge to fix that non charging issues. at that point in time i checked my screen there were no scratches only a few finger prints on the inside of my screen. i had them wipe it off. then i was fine. then when i came back for them to send it in i ask them to wipe off my screen when it came back. two weeks later. it comes back dirty as hell. with finger prints all over the inside screen and scratches on the boarder of the screens. smudge inside the screen. i ask them nicely to wipe them off. they said to come back later they will get it done. that was at 1 in the afternoon. i came back 4 hours later to pick it up. i had to wait for them to still take apart and wipe it down. it came back out 10 mins later. still finger prints all over the inside of my screen. so i ask them again to wipe down the screen. they took it back. about another 10 to 15 mins later another guy came out with my ipad. i looked at the screen. there noticed more smudges, scratches. i asked him can you wipe those smudges off. he then told me its the lcd screen that they cant do anything about that.... iam looking at the screen clearly the lcd is fine. if the lcd was broke should the glass that is supposed to protect the lcd screen be broken??? . that smudge was clearly visible to the point where the screen wasnt even on.... never again

I initially brought my device in to get the battery replaced when Google was offering a free repair to fix the excessive drain, which was caused by the latest Android update. During the repair, the technicians accidentally damaged the fingerprint scanner and broke the screen, which they replaced for free. 2 months go by, and the replacement screen starts having issues, so I bring it in to get it repaired under their "one year" warranty. When the technician is inspecting the phone, they notice a piece of the screen bezel is missing, which occurred when they last replaced the screen, but went unnoticed as I keep the device in a case. They said the repairs would be completely covered, and replaced the screen and bezel in a timely manner. But upon receiving the device back, it had new damage to the housing itself, clearly from prying off the screen and bezel during the replacement process. The new bezel also has damage to the upper right corner. The services done to the device were completely covered, and this is an older device at this point. But the damage that was inflicted during the repair process is upsetting. It is covered by the case, and is clearly cosmetic. The technicians told me that the Pixel 4A is one of the most difficult pixel phones to repair. And as long as the screen functions properly and does not start to pry up from the housing, I am satisfied.

So I had inherited an HP laptop from my grandparents whose screen could induce an epileptic seizure once you logged in and so much as breathed on the trackpad, and I grew up with a MacBook and a self-built pc so I don’t really have a ton of experience with HP laptops and their problems. I figured I would bring it to uBreakiFix, since I’ve heard generally good reviews from my friends and have had bad experiences with other major repair shops, but I had never gone to uBreakiFix before. I thought I was going to have to pop in and drop it off, then wait a day or two for the diagnosis, then another week for the necessary parts or fixes to be implemented. I was essentially treating it like your local mechanical shop, which might have been the case for other major computer repair shops that I had gone to previously, but not here.

So I go in one night and I explain the problem to Gavin (I hope I’m spelling the name right) who greeted me at the front desk. He goes back to do some preliminary checks, and I thought that was it for me and the computer. 30 seconds later, he had already checked the screen for any cracks and ruled out physical damage for the time being, so he thought it was something software related. Sure enough, restarting the computer revealed a boatload worth of BIOS updates, which had somehow escaped me during my time cleaning the computer. We got to talking about how this could’ve happened, and he explained that the problems with the trackpad extended to more than just the screen. Turns out moving the trackpad during the restart process will pause any BIOS updates, even cancelling them altogether, so my computer was basically a year or so out of date, meaning the Windows operating system was basically speaking gibberish to the BIOS, and the BIOS was doing its best to try and interpret it, but the result was just a screen partying harder than a local dance club on a Friday night.

The computer works just fine now, but I didn’t leave before Gavin gave me some more information and tips in case the BIOS updates weren’t enough, including replacing the default HP graphic drivers with Intel’s, since that was Gavin’s solution to a similar problem that happened to him. The best part about the whole experience was that I didn’t have to pay for anything, which kinda made me feel bad since I couldn’t monetize my appreciation, but I figured I could put some heart and soul into the review instead. All in all, uBreakiFix is a great service with genuine people who clearly love the craft and who seemed to be willing to work on any problems you give them, so much as you’re happy at the...

I would give this store zero stars if I could. I’ll just stick to the facts.

-They replaced my iPhone 11 screen -I purchased the most expensive otter box case that they sell which they put onto my phone for me -immediately after leaving the store I noticed my front facing camera wasn’t functioning properly and it no longer recognized my face to unlock my phone so I removed the function -I called the store immediately and they said I have a 90 day warrenty -a couple weeks later I notice my phone is clicking and open the case to find that the screen is not attached to the phone -I called the strore to explain this and the guy on the phone was extremely rude, he ended up hanging up on me. -I return to the store and show the store employee and explain my issues -He takes my phone to the back and I hear him whispering to someone on the other side of the wall -The store associate returns and tells me the adhesive looked dirty (my phone case isn’t dust proof šŸ™„) -The store associate told me he’s never seen a screen separate from the bezel that’s still attached to the phone unless people have dropped it. (I bought the nicest case they sold, they put it on, and it’s never been out of the case) -I asked him ā€œare you telling me there’s NO WAY there could be a manufacturer defect?ā€ -Store associate told me that it only happens when someone drops there phone - no chance of a MANUFACTURER DEFECT! Comical. -Store associate told me they would not cover it under warranty or replace it because of the defect. -Store associate shows me a new screen and tells me they can install a new one for XXX Amount.

If you’re reading this you might want to look at other options for phone repair in the area unless you liked to be blamed for defective products, be treated rudely when you question them, hung up on, stand in the lobby in front of customers while they blame you and take zero liability for the parts they install or the work they complete. It’s too bad this franchise is run so poorly - it says a lot about management of this location.

UPDATE** I’m filing a complaint with their corporate office and they called the store and the store told them that my phone had WATER DAMAGE and that’s why the screen separated. LOL! Again if you’re reading this review - how many times has your phone screen separated from your phone due to moisture. Because in almost 15 years and dozens of phones this is a first for me! Store associate told the corporate escalation team they would replace the screen for $100 and wave the labor. $100 for another aftermarket defective screen šŸ˜‚ THIS...
