I was extremely disappointed in this cracker barrel. My dad used to love eating here. We we're frequently flyers up until his death.
We walked up to the podium and the first lady who asked up how many (2) disappeared. (Plenty of seating). 2 more guest appeared and they acted like they were royalty and attempted to walk with the next server who was actually trying to seat us. Whatever.
We sat there for quite a while before our server appeared from the kitchen and took our drinks. Those showed up immediately. But then she just walked away back Into the kitchen without taking our order. After 10 min past she finally showed back up to take our order.
Then they seated a man behind me who had a walker (nothing against him he was really sweet). But the tables were so close together that I actually had to Stand up and move so he could seat himself. (Again plenty of empty seats everywhere). Another server too his order and he got his food within minutes.
When the food came out I was shocked. Both meals (which were almost $20 each) we're child sized portions. Server disappeared into the kitchen AGAIN. We realized after a few minutes that we were missing our cornbread and biscuits. Still no server. I attempted to get the attention of another server that walked by but she ignored us like we were non-existent.
After finishing our meal (which took roughly 7 minutes to consume because it was so incredibly small) she FINALLY appeared again with our check almost as if to "push us out". I told her she had forgotten our cornbread and biscuits and she was like "oops" and brought it in a to go container. I also asked for a refill (sweet tea) and she brought that in a to go cup as well. But got it wrong and gave my peach tea... And again disappeared into the kitchen area.!!!! (And I'm 90% positive that we were her ONLY table because she always hid back there and only came out to deal with us.)
Meanwhile, this man behind me has finished his meal and is also ready to leave and once again I had to move myself in order for him to get up. At this point I had literally had enough.
Our total was $46.90 or something close to that.. Now normally, I'd round that up and leave a decent tip. ($13.10. I'm all about even numbers.) I left her $3.10 and she was lucky I left here that. I even spent $13 in the store on biscuit and cornbread mix.
If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I won't ever come back. At least not to this...
Read moreWorst Cracker Barrel service I have ever had!!! I have visited many locations on my travels for work and vacation and this was the worst service I've ever received. Restaurant was clean, we were seated right away, it was the waitress that made this so terrible. Other people were being seated after us and their waitress came right over. I noticed a waitress go to a table behind us that was seated after us. She took their order and went to the kitchen. She came back several minutes later to us. We had been waiting 15 minutes by this time. She wanted to just take our drink order, but we needed to get back to a class being held in town so told her we were in a rush and just wanted to order. She said so you don't want a drink? Her tone was obviously annoyed. We said of course we want drinks we just needed to order everything as we were now in a hurry. People around us are getting their food from their server, people behind us that she waiting on 1st got theirs. 30 minutes go by and we never see her at our table. I wanted to leave, but by now we had no time to go anywhere else. I caught her and asked for my salad I assumed would come before my entrée. I was informed they had people who made those and she'd have to check.....I did assume people made them, but ok. Another 5 minutes and she arrives with our cold food and before I can thank her she walks away. I get she is busy, but my cold food would suggest she could have brought it sooner. She came back to check on us once, we didn't even have time to finish our meal because we have now been there an hour. People around us have eaten and left. People behind us are boxing up their leftovers to go. I have never had such terrible service at a Cracker Barrel. No manager at this location I guess because one never came around as they tend to do. As we paid we expressed how terrible our service was. The cashiers were nice and then offered a manager, but we just didn't have time as we were already late to get back. If you are in a rush don't tell your server at this location! It makes them mad and they go out of their way to keep you waiting. Glad this isn't my local Cracker Barrel because if so I'd...
Read morewe went on Father's day, so of course it was a little busier than usual.. so, the atmosphere was very noisy as nearly all tables were filled and as always, so it seems, that we always get stuck by a table or 2 of screaming children that not only don't have table manners but also don't know how to behave in public places as well.. Usually we have a good wait staff, but that day we had a waitress that just couldn't get our order right , nor could she handle her tables demands as she didn't bring the correct food to the table according to what we ordered.. Both my wife and I had the grandma's sampler, except she had pancakes and I ordered French toast.. Well she brought 2 pancake orders instead.. then for the side , I ordered okra in which she tried telling me that since it was before 11a that I couldn't do okra, but the actual time was 1115a, so she said she could.. but when food came there were the 2 orders of pancake when there should have been 1 pancake and one French toast and then grits came for me instead of okra.. then when she repeated the corrections back to us, she again said grits instead of the okra.. she very nervously stated that she couldn't keep up with all her tables and that she was on the verge of a breakdown.. she wasn't the only one with problems for the day, cuz we'd have to say that the cooks were having a rough time trying to keep up as well.. I say thus because my dad had the cornmeal cajen catfish, in which it normally is a good size and cooked perfectly, it was not that day.. instead it was 2 very small burnt pieces , then when my French toast and okra finally came, my French toast was burned as well.. oh, and the bacon and sausage that was on our sampler plates was completely over done.. the bacon was burnt to a crisp and our sausage patty was a hockey puck.. Needless to say , I had to buy additional food after our lunches cause we weren't able to get filled up on our unedible meals.. we clearly weren't very happy, but I didn't say anything at the time cause our waitress was already flustered and instead I'd just end up writing a review instead for our...
