A friend from work suggested this place. He loves Thai, and said this place was top notch. I have driven by this place dozens of times but never noticed. After his endorsement I decided to find this restaurant. I visited on a Friday night and the place was empty. The decor is old and run-down. But since the place was empty the service was excellent and food came out fast. I got the spicy noodles with shrimp. Awesome choice. I also had Thai iced tea, which I would have thought wouldn't have been so sweet and milky. Still, it was a surprising, yet great choice. Overall this place is pretty good. In a town like this its hard to bring in guest. And I don't see the community getting behind many small, ethnic restaurants. But it seems the owners do their best and turn...

This is hands down the WORST Thai experience I have ever had. My wife and I are huge Thai food fans and could eat Thai every day all day... if its not disgusting.

First of all, we got there during normal dinner hours on a weekday and were the only ones there. That should have been our "turn and run" sign. Secondly (and most importantly) the food was LITERALLY microwaved. We sat down, ordered, heard the microwave buzzer go off and were served our reheated meal within 3 minutes. We also found a piece of plastic in our reheated minute rice. It was thoroughly disgusting. The only good part of this meal was the coke. And the only reason it was good was because it was in a can. NOT because it was $1.50... rip off.

Avoid this place...

i love the thai cafe. i am w/ review 1, this is ottawa, and this is a hometown family that has been working and living here for years. i love the old decor that has been there forever, the mariachi frogs in the window are close friends of mine. i love that their kids wait on the customers and help run their familys business. this place is a gem for our town. because of these commercial thai and chinese around all the good ones get chased off. i can't tell you how much i miss canton chef, so i will never let thai cafe get guff from you guys. if you drive 2 hours to get thai food in naperville, you are either full blood thai, or you deal with sick anal retentiveness. save your gas, this place rocks, and am proud to share a...

Pricey place with small portions. Taste was not bad. I do not expect french cuisine portions in a Thai restaurant. We were 5 of us and the young girl didn't acknowledge us. She was sitting at a table busy with her laptop. I noticed though she was more attentive to other guests. Vegetarian duck is awful. Pad thai was ok. My spicy noodles were thankfully not sweet. And I wished for more veggies in our dishes. Fresh spring roll was good. I think they have increased from my last visit and have reduced the portion sizes as well. They were definitely not dinner size. Oh well I tried!!!

We went in for lunch on 01/06/25. We found street parking in front of the restaurant. Place is small but decent. We ordered fried wanton and shrimp dumplings and they were nice. For entrees, we ordered chicken fried rice and sautéed chicken and vegetables with garlic. Unfortunately, both entrees we extremely salty. We informed the lady but she said that is how they make their food. No apology or empathy at a minimum. We had to leave our food after paying over $45. I will surely not go back ever .

It was not crowded when I arrived so I could choose where to sit. There is street parking nearby. My meal was underwhelming. I ordered the pad see ewe with extra broccoli. Normally pad see ewe noodles are thicker and chewier than pad Thai noodles, but my dish had pad Thai noodles. There was not much flavor but there was A LOT of black pepper dumped on top. I could see it and removed noodles with it because all I could taste was black pepper.
