Jocks Sports Bar — Restaurant in Overland Park

Great community bar from my point of view. Going in for my 1st time tonight, it seemed to be a cheers type of place where "everybody knows your name" but in a good way. They actually wanted to get to know you from the bartenders to the customers. Most smaller or what u would call "hole in the wall bars" have their avid goers that are territorial and standoffish to new faces but it was quite the contrary. I’m in town on a long business trip. I was looking for a bar just like this one : not a generic chain bar, small, mainly locals, pool table….this bar is awesome. Within an hour I was chatting to the very friendly local patrons and playing pool. The lady working the bar was so nice and welcoming. I’ll be back for sure before I head out of Kansas. This is an excellent dive bar, 2 pool tables, and 2 dartboards. There is an online Jukebox, and you can play just about anything. There's are pool and dart leagues as well. Bartenders are excellent, and friendly. Everyone I've met there in the last year has been pretty cool. I love that this is NOT a meat market, and is safe for a single female to go by herself.
