Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Overland Park

It was definitely a wake-up call to stay close to your regular coffee place. My oldest has never been and wanted to try their coffee cause of the ice cream blend. Well, we were super disappointed. She ordered a sugar cookie blended. It came with no topping, and it had no flavor but coffee with oatmilk. Bitter and sad coffee could have been so much better. I ordered the peppermint mocha. I've had it several times at my other location. There was no peppermint in it, and it tasted so plain, just coffee with ice cream. They did put toppings on mine, though. We also got their mini doughnuts for the little one in the back. Sis tried them and immediately spat them out. Stale old doughnut taste lingered in her mouth that not even the bitter coffee could drown out. Would not recommend unfortunately we were very disappointed to have wasted our time...

My first time he was a few weeks ago. I had only known other Scooter's locations to be small and drive-thru only, but not this one! Here there are spacious booths, an open living room-esque space, and so many nosh options to boot. I have met two wonderful young women that work there (Laura and Lydia). They not only know me by my name, but remember my drink order and other personable details that really make me feel welcomed and at home.

Please know that I drive almost 25 minutes out of my way (past three Starbucks, a Dunkin, a Caribou, etc) just to drink this coffee, be in the presence of such kind baristas, and do work from my laptop. It's just such an easy, welcoming place to be. Oh and the 1990's tunes - yes, please - best playlist of any coffee shop!...

Walked into this place to kill a few minutes and do some homework. Watched 3 people slip on a huge spill right in front of the register. Workers said they knew and dismissed my wifes near fall. They had a sign out which was behind the spill up against the counter. When i asked if their manager was there i was told "their manager wasn't there". An hour later when we left no one had bothered to walk around the counter and clean up the spill.

Coffee was fine and the muffin was a bit stagnant.

I have been here a couple times when we are in town for soccer but this will be my last visit. If 4 employees don't mind watching their customers standing in a spilled drink to place their order i can only imagine how little they care about the rest...
