I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shagan's Kitchen, and I must say, it was an all-around delightful experience. The menu was extensive, offering a variety of dishes, and I couldn't resist trying the Naan, Paratha, Rice, Butter Paneer, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Gravy. Each dish was not just delicious but truly mouthwatering.
The standout for me were the buttery items - the Butter Paneer and Butter Chicken were absolute must-try dishes. The rich, creamy flavors and perfect balance of spices made these dishes an unforgettable experience for my taste buds.
Now, let's talk about some constructive feedback for the restaurant. Firstly, I'd like to suggest that Shagan's Kitchen pays a little more attention to respecting their customers' time. Timely service is important, and it can make the dining experience even better.
Secondly, while the flavors were exceptional, I did feel that the quantity of the dishes could be improved slightly. A little more food on the plate would make it an even more satisfying meal.
That said, everything else was superb. The ambiance, the service staff, and the overall dining experience were highly enjoyable.
Cheers, guys! Keep up the good work, and I hope you have a fantastic time serving delicious food to...
Read moreI have been going to Shagan’s on a regular basis over last 6 months. This place serves the best North Indian Food in KC. It tastes so much like home made food, but more flavourful. In addition to the deliciously fresh food, the service is phenomenal. The service and hospitality is their forte. You wouldn’t walk out of this place regretting the decision to dine in there.
Few weeks ago I had the opportunity to have them cater at my wedding reception. It was truly an amazing experience. Our guests were a mix of Americans and Indians and everyone simply loved the food served by Shagan and her team. Everything was cooked to perfection and served on time. I can go on to say that the true testimony of the mouthwatering food is the fact that it was preferred over barbecue in Kansas.
I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to taste freshly made North Indian food in this area. If you have never tasted Indian food before, this is the place you should definitely visit. The family goes out of the way to help you choose and order the right stuff for you. Malai Kofta, Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry are must haves. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for everyday...
Read moreFirst of all if your trying to decide which Indian Restaurant to go to, stop searching, do yourself a favor and go here. I have been to SO many different Indian Restaurants in So many different states and this by far surpasses them all! Let's start with the flavors, they are incredible. The owner will post the specials of the day on the Restaurant's FB page, each day everything is made fresh. You can tell! Today was my first time to try Shagan's, I tried all 6 of the dishes offered today on a sampler platter. My husband and I could literally not pick a favorite, because it was all so good. The chicken is so tender it melts in your mouth and you can eat it with a spoon. Shagan was so very kind and explained each dish to us. Like I said it was our first time in and my husband didn't want to leave because the atmosphere was so friendly. They also have a grocery section with dry goods and I was able to pick up some staples and treats. Also when I was there I noticed they have a drive through window, that was pretty steady with traffic. We had it for lunch and wanted to go back for dinner! Oh and the price can't be beat for the portions and quality. Just...
