Update Thank you to Michael for allowing me to give this restaurant another chance. I was able to get a family pack witch came with 10 med size soft shells a nice size container of ground beef. A side of chips with Queso, Salsa, refried black beans and Queso rice and guacamole. A nice amount of lettuce, cheese, and pico on the side for the price I thought his was a great value. The lady who took my order (In Store) was kind and helpful the restaurant was clean and nice. I get my food take it home to share with my family. The Queso Rice is good I enjoy it I only wish it was a little bit less thick but tasty and has a small spicy flavor. Refried Black Beans are my fav very yummy with a unknown sauce and some Cotija Cheese this I love. Salsa is ok im not a salsa person but its ok. Guacamole is yummy I enjoy it! Chips are better and my family enjoys them. Only think I missed was sour cream and I was told there would be some in the bag but thankfully we have some at home. The soft shells were yummy and ground beef well seasoned once we all build our taco we enjoy them alot there is 5 of us and we all were able to eat 2 tacos and get full along with the sides. Im impressed with the level of customer service and care given from Michael thanks you very much we will eat the Family Taco Pack again.
I drove by this place last week on my way to work, I decided to try it out today I ordered a 2 taco combo and a side of chips and salsa. Let me say that most all the tacos I wanted to try were going to be an up charge of $1.00. At the price for this combo at $13.99 already I decided to get only the tacos that were within that combo. The menu does not say what tacos come with the combo. So I had to ask the young lady seemed very confused but I end up ordering the Fried Chicken taco and Carnitas taco and the queso rice as my side and a small chips and salsa. My lunch total $18.85 got to window and check my bag there is no salsa just the chips, I ask for my salsa the other lady just looked at me and goes to get it. I ask do they have any other sauce packets or anything for my tacos and I was told no id have to pay for extra sauce. I get back to work and the food looks not appealing but I 1st try chips and salsa they have no flavor no salt, I see some seasoning but theres no tatse and served cold not warm and they are thicker chips. Salsa is not well flavored either, rice is ok but very thick and paste like not a fan. The Fried chicken taco is ok but is missing something there no color nothing but lettuce and a spicy sauce. I would not have gotten this taco has I known it was spicy, I don't like spicy food but the drive through window menu was hard to see with the small letters. The Carnita taco is my least favorite it had a strange cinnamon taste and no sauce I dislike this most of all. Needless to say I don't want to go back and I spent to much to be this unhappy but I tried it and that's all I can say. I will admit I was a bit surprised to see so many great reviews from Local guides guess we all have different taste buds or reviews cant be trusted now days. On the positive not the young lady at he...
Read moreUpdate: I had a good conversation with the operating partner, Michael Parker, who reached out to discuss my review. I do believe there is a training opportunity with the team on how they present the option for gratuity and payment. The location is new and I understand these things can happen. There is an option F to leave no gratuity. However, this option is not visible on the screen and if not verbally communicated, you would not know this option existed. It would be worth their IT department reviewing how options are visually presented on their credit card machines as well. Our family will return and try it again.
BUYER BEWARE! I will talk about the food, but first want to talk about their seemingly mandatory tipping policy. My wife and I dined in for lunch for the first time on Monday. You order at the counter with a cashier. After ordering, the cashier advised we need to hit 1, 2 or 3 on the device before paying. Those options are 10%, 15% or 20% gratuity. I’m sorry what? I’m ordering myself at the counter, there is no table service. I’m getting my own drinks. What am I tipping for? I hit a button trying to exit the menu and it added 10%, so I cancelled the transaction. When she prompted the total again I simply hit the green enter button and the screen display for gratuity went away so I paid. Low and behold on my receipt a 10% tip was charged. This seems to be straight up theft by this company..
As for the food, it was good. They char their chicken on the grill pretty hard. For my personal tastes I didn’t enjoy the flavor. Chipotle steak taco was decent. Salsa and queso are basic, and the quac has too much lime juice in it for my tastes. My favorite item was probably the side salad with the salsa ranch dressing. My wife had the entree salad with grilled chicken and salsa ranch,...
Read moreI actually haven't visited the restaurant in person yet, but plan on doing so. I was looking for something different to order to have delivered via Door Dash, and we decided to check out Tacos 4 Life because of its interesting menu. It didn't disappoint. It came hot and packaged nicely, with tacos we ordered wrapped individually. The Chips had a light seasoning on them that was quite tasty. They were fresh and crispy thin. The salsa was fresh and not too hot. Had the Hawaiian Shrimp taco and it was divine. Loved the pineapple and toasted coconut on it, and the Ono sauce was yummy. Also had the Chicken Fajita taco and it was very good. It came with small cups of guac and sour cream, and the guac was fresh and tasty.
I love rice as a side dish and was disappointed they didn't have the traditional Spanish style rice to order. However, they had a side dish called Queso Rice so I ordered that. Wow, what a taste treat. White rice with their homemade Queso on top. The menu is quite diverse, and the tacos were a good size. They also have other items like rice bowls, nachos, Mexican salads, all with a unique spin. This just might be my new...
