Tomahawk Ridge Aquatic Center — Local services in Overland Park

I have been a season pass holder to this pool for two years and came here as a little kid. I think it would be a wonderful pool but the lifeguards and staff seem annoyed by the job that employs them when they realize they must interact with people and provide a service.

Most adults and even kids are willing to accommodate rules and expect to be politely asked or informed of their error and given the chance to correct.

Please don't pay to be condescended to. I hate to inform the kids that run the pool, but there job is not that hard and they are not so put upon. We went with our friends to swim @ Tomahawk Ridge Aquatic Center. This a fun pool for kids which has 2 slides and an inflatable climbing wall.

But on the downside, they had a lap lane, but the Lifeguards failed miserably in keeping the kids out of my lane while swimming for 40 minutes. The Lifeguards whistled many times on various infractions but none were concerned about kids in the lap lane. I am generously guessing I swim over and thru 50 plus kids. We loved it. Lifeguards are awesome! Slides are great! The inflated climbing/jumping thing burned my daughter's feet. It would be great if water could continually run over it to keep it cool to the touch. At one point 2 camps of kids came it and it was shoulder room only in the 3 ft. Maybe only allow 1 camp at a time or add another pool on the grassy area. Otherwise, we had a really fun time! We hadn't been there since our older kids were little and there were...
