Michaels — Local services in Overland Park

There was hardly any pricing on the display shelves where the canvas was. Caroline at the cash register was actually really rude. I don’t ever do reviews or any of that, but she really made it a bad experience to be in this store. We checked out and she interrupted my mom and I explaining things many times. We asked how much 70% off items were and instead of telling us, she just put the items in the bag. When we asked how much they were, she replied very snotty “our system doesn’t let us see the price, just how much is taken off” ok then do the math Caroline? Then when she asked us for our rewards phone number, she typed it in wrong about 5 times and then angrily said “ok I’m gonna need you to SLOW DOWN.” And my mom did and she still messed it up. Then my mom asked about an online order. She kind of rolled her eyes and asked for the last name. She came back and tried shoving big canvas in a small cart, denting the sides and front of the canvas. (Which now we have to come back and return) She didn’t say have a good night or anything. I work retail and I would never be so blatantly rude to a customer. I understand being understaffed and having a bad day, but don’t put that on a customer. Most of the time we have a good experience here, but we prefer the michaels...

Maybe today is the one bad day for these workers, but they're rude and dismissive. I needed help with a fountain. Since I didn't find any workers in the store, I went up to the register to ask the girl if she could call someone to help me with a fountain. She said, someone would be along to help. But she did not walkie anyone to help me. Just kept looking blank and miserable to be there. Like three minutes later a male associate hops on a register and I ask him if he could get someone to help me. His reply was, "we're all busy." So I walked off because obviously management cannot be bothered to schedule an adequate amount of people to run the store.

I've worked retail, so I understand WHY the associates would be in a bad mood today.

I went in the store with my daughter to get supplies for tshirts. One worker was so fantastic helping us out and taking us to the products we were looking for. We noticed in the tshirts there were no large pinks in either colors (there were two different pinks) but I noticed above the tshirts there were boxes with tshirts stacked two on top of each other going across the entire shelves. I went to ask if there were pink ones in the box, the associate, Dena, looked in the same area as I did and when finished she told us they were out, she guessed. I then asked about the boxes on top, she gave me a crazy answer which was that they had other sizes of tshirts in them and walked away. My question is how is it that she figured a pink wasn't in there. My son in law offered to take them down for me to look through, I told him no, she didn't want to do her job and look, then he...
